This is chapter 1 of the yukichie fic I wrote for @women-of-persona-big-bang!

This project was so fun to work on. I was so inspired that I made a multi-chapter fic, and my artist partner was lovely!

Summary: 

Empress Konohana Sakuya rules a feudal era Japan where magic is wielded by those with royal blood. Though the woman tries to keep her family safe, war rages on. Princess Yukiko is the last surviving child from the Empress’s bloodline, the Amagi clan. When the royal family and their retinue readies to go to a nearby temple for a ritualistic fire cleansing ceremony on Yukiko’s sixteenth birthday, to usher her into adulthood and strengthen her powers, the princess is kidnapped by an enemy clan. Yukiko’s childhood friend and handmaiden, Lady Chie, goes on a rescue mission.

I had so much fun writing this yukichie fic. They deserve more long fics.
