What's a sleep schedule?

some of them were really easy to translate, others were a bit harder to make fit my style (cough cough Ryoma cough), and while i was doing this i realized i have changed Shuichi's eyes so much from canon over the years of drawing saiouma bs that had i not included the triangles (which aren't part of his lashes in my design, they're tattoos) in this lineup, his eye would have been completely unrecognizable

i wanted Kokichi's scarf to be the unlabeled flag but it didn't work like i wanted it to so i stuck with gay for him, just know i actually hc him as unlabeled

it can't just be one minute they hate eachother and the next they're professing their love- nonono- it has to be a buildup. it's like a slowburn but instead of the flame slowly consuming the wick of love, it sits there for hours at the tip tempting yet unmoving until suddenly the whole wick errupts into flames. like a damn of denial and hatrid breaking under the pressure of their suddenly realized feelings and flooding the scene with the biggest "oH fUck i'm in love hOlyshitwhatdoidooo" the story can muster.

as you can probably guess based on the contents of my blog- i'm thinking about saiouma doing this. i just wanna see them so fucking aggitated trying to insist they hate one another until one of them snaps and the love spills out without their permission.

i think i like this with Saiouma more than other ships, and it's probably because of the lying/truth denial issues both Kokichi and Shuichi have that are like- a key factor of the ship dymanic. there's just something so satisfying about the mental image of either breaking down infront of the other and admiting to these terrifying feelings they don't know how to lable quite yet, or do know how to lable but are scared of having for various reasons. and it's always just so much more satisfying if they spent the whole fic prior insisting they hate one another
