People as far as the eye can see today at the #climatestrike in #vancouver #✊
Rallying tonight alongside many others in #solidarity with @unitehere40 members on strike in downtown #Vancouver #✊ The tourism industry in Vancouver is the most profitable hospitality industry in the country, but conditions for workers have only gotten worse. As hotels under strike have doubled their revenues from just years ago, workers have been left behind – on their current wages, striking room attendants have to work 89 hours a week just to earn enough to afford a one bedroom apartment in Vancouver. One job should be enough.
Happy to see 98% of the members on our election telephone townhall last night said they were going to vote or already have voted. 💥 Your vote is important! Visit elections.ca for information about how, when and where to cast your ballot. #vote #canada
It was standing room only at Collingwood Neighbourhood House last night for the Vancouver Kingsway Candidates Forum organized by the Vancouver Area Council. It was great to see so many people engaged in the upcoming election. Kudos to the Area Council members for organizing a great event and thank you to the candidates and members of the community for participating.

marched alongside the BC Federation of Labour and affiliated unions as part of the multi-union pride contingent at the Vancouver #Pride Parade this weekend. Our entry helped raise awareness about the discriminatory ban on blood, organ and bone marrow donations from many LGBTQ2+ people - more info and sign on to the campaign to eliminate the blood ban here: https://ift.tt/2yNQrw6 Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make it a great day!
will be at #mayday in #vancouver tomorrow, May 1. Rally starting @ 5:30PM, West Georgia at Richards. Join us! #✊
Members of @ceiuseic Local 20914 working at Service Canada in #Kamloops stand solidly behind their bargaining team. Right after this photo was taken they borrowed our megaphone and marched outside to send a message to management: we want you to come to the table ready to negotiate a fair collective agreement! #✊ #fierce
The unseasonably cold weather in Vancouver didn't stop Jamey Mills, REVP for BC, and Todd Smith, Vancouver Area Council President, from canvassing for Jagmeet Singh this weekend. Election day in #BurnabySouth is February 25th!
members who work at the Canadian Grain Commission gathered on the weekend at their Local #union AGM. Despite almost three years of ongoing pay problems, they work hard every day making sure Canadian wheat is dependable and up to our standards. They deserve a fair collective agreement! #✊

A great group of activists gathered last weekend at the 2018 BC Regional H&S Conference. We're looking forward to working with all of them as we make our worksites healthier, safer & better for all of us. #✊
We spent some time today meeting with members of PSAC/USJE Local 20011. They have a message for their bargaining team and the employer ... Every day members show up to work not even knowing if they’re going to get paid properly – we won't back down until we get a collective agreement and working conditions that reflect that dedication, as well as the value of our work. #Solidarity! #✊✊✊
Rally tomorrow in #Vancouver! Thursday at noon at the Vancouver Convention Centre East! Come support #postalworkers who have been legislated back to work by the Liberal Government! An injury to one is an injury to all. #✊ #solidarity #bcfed18

Members of the West Fraser Valley Area Council met with Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility, at her constituency office in Delta today. They told her about the direct impact of Phoenix on federal government workers - in her constituency and across the country - and called on her to provide a real plan and timeline to end their #burntbyphoenix pay nightmare. They also told her that PSAC members expect her government to come to the Treasury Board bargaining table ready to make significant progress when we meet again at the end of November. #✊
just got a big win at arbitration over the Public Service Dental Care Plan. This will result in substantial improvements to coverage for our members. More at psacunion.ca #✊
