You are good the way you are. He should appreciate you for being you because that’s what you offer him.

You are totally fine on you’re own. Happy, content and strong and confident.

What am I worried about? That I’m somehow going to be wrong about you, that you’re not the person for me? That you don’t love me as much as I want to be loved, or that I will be left being the one who loves more? Or is it maybe that I’m afraid you won’t be able to love me in the way that I want to be loved, in a way that makes me feel secure.

The way you spoke to me scared me. I know I pushed you towards that. But the way you said that was only a tiny piece of it. That really upset me.

Why am I feeling so jealous? Insecurity? Trust issues?

I think I need words and compliments to feel loved and appreciated. An overwhelming amount. The amount that I give out, that you somehow don’t seem to like, meanwhile it’s exactly what I would crave from you.

The way you sometimes make me feel uncomfortable for expressing my feelings for you. Thats what really frightens me. Because I thought I’d found someone that matches that in me. With your notes and your poems and how expressive you were with me in the beginning. Now we’re this far and somehow I’m finding out that this isn’t who you are.

I will really try. I’ll try to be okay with you being incapable of telling me things I wanna hear. I will try to somehow dial back what I say out loud to you. Maybe I can keep them in my head like secret notes of love.

My love for you has grown into something so much more. From that initial spark and almost obsessive excitement to a calm, safe, trusting and googly eyed love.

I genuinely really trust you and sleeping in your arms still feels as good as 6 months ago. I got to know you so much deeper. Our communication is really our strength just like I’d hoped. I think you really might be my person. I can see a future with you.

You’ve been there for me 150% on the days I’ve been injured, sick, in pain, or even just really sad and upset. You’ve biked over to mine without telling me, you’ve take a 12am bus just to cuddle me. This means more to me than you’ll ever understand and I want to make you the happiest man alive.

When I first met you, I was instantly attracted to your eyes, your style, your charm, and your calm and confident energy. I got lost in conversation with you, hanging on to your every word. I drowned in our intense eye contact until I became completely unaware of our surroundings. Everything flowed naturally and I couldn’t wait to see you again.

Now, 4 months later, I’ve learned you are passionate, creative, empathetic, curious and able to feel emotions very deeply. I love how much you care about your work and how excited you get about cameras. You’re intelligent and you challenge me, make me reconsider my opinions, and you stand up for your own. Your point of view is different and I like that. Your communication is gentle and understanding and I truly appreciate your depth and emotional maturity.

I think part of our strength as a couple is how we listen to each other without passing judgement and are able to empathize with the other persons point of view. How we support each other. I hope it stays like that forever because it’s the best foundation for a relationship I think I’ve ever had.

You’re so gentle, caring and emotional and able to feel everything so deeply. Your depth and maturity is something I’ve always craved from someone but assumed would be impossible to find.

Yet even though you are soft, you’re not afraid to challenge me, making me reconsider my opinions and stand up for your own. You have solid reasoning and thought behind your opinions, and I deeply appreciate how you’re able to communicate them.

Because of our empathy we’re able to listen and see things from eachothers point of view from a place of no judgement. I hope this stays forever because it feels like the best possible foundation for a relationship.

Sometimes I wish I could see into the future, predict and anticipate what will happen so I can make sure to do things right this time. But the not knowing is what makes it exciting. It keeps me curious and interested.
