I'll show you the power of sardines!

She practically jumped out of her skin when she heard a voice- she was starting to be convinced that she had landed herself in a desolate place of isolation, and that she would never see another soul again. Of course, she had only been here for little over half an hour, but still. Desolate isolation.

Now this was something he didn't expect. The lass practically treated him like a rabid beast! No one had treated him with such disrespect before, at least not on their first meeting. Valvatorez was taken aback by this lasses intense reaction to simply seeing another demon. Maybe this place had gotten to her? That must be it. He knew when people got like this, there was only thing that could be done. Fight violence with more amounts of violence! Drawing his sword, Yoshitsuna, he adopted his fighting stance. If this woman was going to turn him into a frog, she'd have to kill him first! Although he doubted it was likely, he did sense quite a strong power from inside this girl. He might actually have to be careful during this fight.

Awesome! Wait — Sardines for every meal? One hundred zombies… every day!? Donnel could only take a moment to debate whether or not he regretted this. But honestly he should just be happy someone was willing to teach an old tin hat like him. So for now, he’ll grin and bear it, trying not to think of human limitations.

The humans question puzzled Valvatorez. How did he carry that many...? He simply stored them in his inventory. Isn't that how everyone did it? It's how he stored all of his healing items and weapons his entire journey, he had never questioned it before. He didn't plan on it either, so he simply shrugged and ignored the question. Ah, he himself had completely forgotten to introduce himself. Hardly good manners for a Prinny Instructor. Hearing the human's rather plain name, Valvatorez cleared his throat and proceeded to introduce himself.

Valvatorez had been wandering around the city once again, trying to reason with the mindless demon zombies that were roaming in the ruins with him. What kind of spell did they have cast upon them to make them act so mindless? Not that zombies were smart to begin with...but that was not the point here. What was the real point was...he was running low on sardines again. Even after finding that can and sharing with the lad, he still was running low. He had to scour every nook and cranny for sardines. His efforts had not been for naught, as he had found a few stray cans here and there....but it was still not enough. As he searched yet another run down building, slaying the zombies within, he heard something. Was that...a girl? Tracking down where the origin of the voice had come from, he spotted what seemed to be, as he suspected, a young girl. Perfect, yet another to teach the great power of sardines to! Approaching the girl, he inspected her more closely. Tattoos on her face...pointed ears...was this girl perhaps..a demon of some sorts? She didn't seem as brainless as the demon zombies that he had met so far, so he decided that was even more reason to talk to her!

   The hand coming onto his shoulder had made his body rigid, the male shooting a glare to other as second nature; features eventually relaxing into a regular expression as the other meant no harm. Unless the putrid smell coming off the sardine was considered as such, thanks to his enhanced senses which intensified the stench.

When the human refused the sardine at first, Valvatorez felt only more encouraged to try making him eat it. After all, even people that don't wish to eat sardines can learn to appreciate their majesty! Opening his mouth to start a rant about the power of sardines, he was cut off by the human actually considering eating the sardine. Valvatorez grinned when the human asked if he was supposed to eat it raw. Of course even a human would be able to see the beauty of sardines! By the time Valvatorez was done with him, this human would see true sardine power! 

The man has surprisingly enough relinquished the sardines very easily once it looked like he has picked up on the smell of the container. Valvatorez easily caught the sardines in mid air, but did not start eating. In fact, he was thinking of something else rather than eating. This young man had simply smelled the sardines...then walked away. This must mean he does not know the true power of sardines! Container still in hand, Valvatorez quick walked up to the man and put his hand on his shoulder.

   Having torn through swarms and swarms of zombies, searched through crooks and crannies and still there were no answers to pending questions nor materials even useful enough to salvage. Damn, if back home was a junk heap, this place was complete shit. Then again, no one said after ‘death’ was going to easy— only because no one ‘lived’ to tell the story. 

Valvatorez has been wandering through the town, disposing of any zombies that got in the way of his quest. Yes...his quest for sardines! His supply of fresh sardines was running low and he was forced to start looking for...canned sardines. He shudders at the very thought of them. How could humans can up sardines like that instead of eating them fresh and natural?! Valvatorez never did understand how humans did things sometimes.

     Donnel’s tickled pink at the praise. And all for what — eating a fish? This guy may have done some scary stuff, but he was starting to like him already. It was nice to find good guys in this place, when he hadn’t seen much of anyone at all… Even if they did dress a litle goofy. But who was Donnel to judge?

Valvatorez was becoming more and more impressed with this human. Not affected by the potent smell of a sardine? This human even seemed to enjoy eating sardines right off the bat! Valvatorez had only ever met a human this amazing once before, hundreds of years ago. Not to mention that he seemed unafraid by Valvatorez, who has a vampire! Valvatorez felt as if he had an obligation to train this human into the hero he so wants to be.

     The whole spectacle was like magic. A whole level above what he’d seen even in the shepards! He simply had to go see what kind of person was behind all this, whether or not they were evil… He’d cross that bridge when he got there.

Ah, a normal looking human. Perfect! This would be the best opportunity to begin spreading the good word of sardines! While Valvatorez has not even started to spread the word of sardines among demons yet, maybe humans would listen more to him. He knows he should be scaring this human, but considering that he's dead it shouldn't really be too much of an issue now, should it? As the human in front of him took the sardine, Valvatorez was waiting in anticipation for his reaction. Just when he thought the man wouldn't take the sardine, he takes it and takes a bite right out of the head. Marvelous!
