Starting over. After 4 years of posting great content, and almost 60K amazing followers, the Tumblr police terminated my account. I'm trying to rebuild, although nothing is ever as good as the first time.....actually, I can think of a handful of exceptions. 😈

One year ago today I entered my first Pinup Contest.

I got the balls to do something I’ve always wanted to do. Growing up I always wanted to be a Pinup model. I have just always thought they were just so sexy and beautiful.

I was a nervous wreck. Being on stage is NOT my thing. I had my song to walk out to, but learned last minute (as in I’m on stage watching the women called before dance and sing their way across the stage), I was supposed to have a ‘routine’. Ummm, my clumsy self tripped going up the stairs 🤦🏻‍♀️. Painfully awkward pinups are a thing, yes?

So I dug down deep, sashayed my ass across the stage, did a sexy shimmy and wiggled my ass and all that shit I had no idea I could do, with my hands shaking the whole time. I nailed my interview question, got a loud cheer response of support.

Did I place, no.

Did I win, FUCK YES. I conquered my fear of public speaking and went for what I wanted. And now, I don’t wait for competitions. I dress like this whenever I want. I go to work like that now. I don’t give a fuck. I’m taking characters and doing a pinup version of them (Jessica Rabbit, Black Widow, soon: Velma and maybe more).

I unlocked a part of who I am, a passion and I’m forever embracing it.

I’m continuing to do what I’ve always wanted, and I’m 100% comfortable in the skin I’m in.

That kind win is not something someone can shake your hand on stage and present to you. You fucking earn it.
