Cats will be cats. Although lions are not known for their tree-climbing prowess, these youngsters in Kenya's Maasai Mara couldn't resist the urge to test their arboreal abilities. At this age, clambering up a tree trunk is still relatively easy for the lions, but as the cats grow in size and stature, climbing will become more difficult and agility more elusive. Despite these limitations, some lion prides have become adept at climbing trees and spend much of their time draped over branches where they can escape the heat of the day.
