Project: M&M

First off, I would like to say I’m sorry if you are finding this post in your fandom tag. But if it’s in it, it’s most likely because I’ve seen such an outpouring of people encouraging diversity in it. So, This is Project M&M. I am making my own TTRPG. At least I’m going to try to. I probably won’t post anything actually related to the game itself for a while.  The main purpose of this blog is for me to find friends, creators and/or resources to help me get better at writing a diverse world. Though it does not take place in our world, I can’t ignore it isn’t inspired on it. And well, this is also to help me as a writer in general.

I have what I like to call Dumb White Bitch Disease. Meaning I live in a small Hick Town in the middle of nowhere on a bible belt. I may be a Lesbian, but I’m still Cis and White. The truth is I don’t have many friends. Those I do, are mostly white, or aren't really into TTRPG or writing in general.  I also have Autism, so its hard for me to reach out to people IRL sometimes. Also, I’ve only known I’ve had for a year! So my experience with it is super different! So, if I EVER do something that isn’t right, I WANT people to call me out on it. I NEED people to. I have to be better. I will be better.  I like to think I’ve never been bad, but it’s not my call on that.

To clarify ‘Diversity’. I mean POC, Lgtbq+, mental and physical disabilities , you name it.  I am an anthropology major, but reading a book about something is different from talking to people. And givin everything going on in the world it feels wrong not to call out this. I HAVE 1 BLACK FRIEND! She’s only one person. I can’t ask one black person their option on something and assume it’s fine because ‘i have a black friend’. I’m not going to tag this in blm or other tags because I don’t want to block the voices of black voices.
