73. The End...
β¦ But for now, these three remain: Faith. Hope. & Love.Β - 1 Corinthians 13:13
One year? Come on, itβs a lot better than that two year wait for the last blog, right? Maybe? Okay.
But in all seriousness, to YOU reading this blog: thank you for your patience, your reminders and your prayers. You are the reason why this blog still lives.
And so, once more, in hopes that this too will be a blessing to himβ¦
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritu Sancti. Amen.
On September 28th, I became the godmother to a very beautiful baby girl. As excited, humbled and honoured as I was when her two amazing parents sat me down and asked me to play a significant role in the life of the baby they were, at the time, expecting, I couldnβt figure out why they would have possibly picked me, of all people.
Unworthy.
Sinful.
Me?
But as I continue to pray for my goddaughter, I begin to realize how much more profound our relationship is. Yes, I will do my best to help her strive for holiness and help her reach heaven. But much more, she will help and has already helped me be that much closer to a life everlasting. She has already saved my life.
So what does this have to do with anything?
βHappiness can be found, even in the darkest of times. If one only remembers to turn on the light."Β - Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban
In the same way, there is always so much more to things than what we see if only we choose to open our eyes to those unseen. My relationship with my goddaughter is not only meant for her sanctity, but for mine as well. Project 73 was not just for Kuya, but for me. For you. For all of us.
Having been blessed to take part in and finish the project was not a favour for him, but it was always a time of reflection for me, personally. These blessings were not posted only for him to share, but to act as reminders. To remind us that these 73 are but a tiny scrape in the countless number of blessings that we receive in our lifetime. The everyday blessings that we are called to witness. The tiny blessings that cause the oceans to roar and bring us back to these blogs after every single post.
It was not Kuya who gave "Project 73" life, it was YOU. It was not I who kept it alive, it was YOU. Therefore you will be the spirit of 73 that will cause the mountains to bow. You are the 73 blessings written and the infinite that will give the wind its song of praise. Just as my goddaughter would be the reason behind my sanctity, you are the heart and soul of 73. You are the reason this blog still lives. You are what and who continues this faith journey. Thank you.
And so, as we send βProject 73β to the archives, remember that these blessings still very much live. Justβ¦ donβt forget to turn on the lights.
St. Gemma Galgani, pray for us.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritu Sancti. Amen.
