Iiiiii've been musing about eridian biology and I realized something that may be kind of meh or kind of oooh

Grace is a biologist, Rocky is an engineer, this is established.

Eridians, in canon before all the cool speculative biology shit we get into in the fandom, are practically more machine than animal. Maybe im remembering wrong but there's like a line in the eridian biology doc that says something like that. Mineral carapace with no nerve endings, metallic joints, no soft bits anywhere. Sentient machine

Meanwhile, to eridians, Humans must look profoundly organic in like a "this is a yucky bug, this is a big wet amoeba" way. All soft and squishy and leaky, all of our natural body processes relay so heavily in our interior bio-flora, we're made of millions of organisms. Biology personified

I dont know where im going with this, something something an Engineer becoming fascinated with biology and a Biologist becoming fascinated with machines all because of their obsession for each other's bodies Or something, im not smart enough to keep going at this thought but I though it was a coincidental and interesting dichotomy
