'Tala Sharpstone is an avoskelle mercenary hailing from the Shale Flats. Brought up by a farming family under the protection of House Whiteblood, she took interest in fighting at a young age and trained among the stone fields of her home to reach the level she is at now.

She is most well-known for her help in constructing the famous Map of the Deadlands, the first comprehensive map of the western reaches of The Continent that helped rid the stigma that these lands were dangerous, foreign, and dead.

Through her meticulously kept journal detailing items and creatures from the lands she and her companion travelled, as well as daily entries, we can piece together their story through The Deadlands.'

(3) Whiteblood issued standard medicine ingredients (Silverroot Powder, Slatethistle Sap, Embervine Sapling). (1) Medicine pouch, full of collected herbs, roots, and other ingredients (2) small flasks. (1) large flask. (3) Spell candles (Lightdripping, Stonemoulding, and Fleshknitting). (1) Compass. (1) Small machete. (1) Spyglass. (1) Pouch of black powder. When questioned, Mercenary Sharpstone mentioned its use in self defence. (1) Tin of (23) kindlewogg tadpoles. (1) Handheld distiller, well maintained and clean. (1) Blowgun and (3) Darts, uncoated. (1) Magnifying glass. (1) Dropper. (1) Spray bottle, empty. (1) Flagon, empty, sticky. (1) Small chest, containing some of Mercenary Sharpstone's personal effects. (1) Leather journal, well used. (1) Feather quill, well used. When questioned, Mercenary Sharpstone gladly produced less worn quills up to regulation standard, explaining the tattered pen was of sentimental value. (5) Small blades.

Mercenary Sharptone also carried 12,450G (10 Crowns, 4 Throne pieces, 4 Eyes, 4 Toothpennies, and 10 Gold pieces).

Inspectors Notes: 'Mercenary Sharpstone, whilst carrying quite the amount of personal effects, is a stellar example of how all Whiteblood mercenaries should handle their gear. It must be noted that she kept the ribbon of her glaive tied to a small knot, against regulations, but otherwise there were little to no faults with her inventory. Her glaive has been kept well sharpened, her crest well polished, and it seems Ms. Sharpstone would be unlikely to be found in a situation without the proper equipment to deal with it.' PASS This document has been notarised and sealed by a House Whiteblood inspector for use among approved scribes only.

Fail an acrobatics check? You sprain all of your joints.

You are always followed by birds and forest creatures, they deeply disapprove of most of your life choices.

You cause all creatures within five feet to hear faint whispers of bizarre and alien things.

You have the horns of a ram growing from your head.

You are always followed and surrounded by a low glittering mist.

Your eyes - pupils and irises - become entirely white.

You constantly surrounded by swarming butterflies.

You have flower petals for hair.

You can crudely mimic others, like a raven or a jackdaw.

You have mushrooms which grow out of any scars or wounds. They are psychedelic, of course.

You can sing like a bird almost perfectly.

You have golden or amber eyes.

You are covered in a sleek coat of fur, like a hunting hound or a deer.

You have seven-inch-long fingers.

You have pair of elegant and delicate butterfly wings. They are functionally useless and will require clothing to be specially tailored.

Your skin changes colour with mood, like an octopus or a chameleon.

You leave a trail of flowers, growing in your footsteps.

The Deck of Many Things (06: The Flames)

Guess what, guys? I’m going to be working on an art series of The Deck of Many Things! The Deck is a super powerful magic item in D&D/Pathfinder and while I’ve been wanting to do my own interpretation of the deck for years, because it’s an actual part of my Homebrew game that I’m running, I want to make it for actual use in-game!

I’ll be posting the individual pieces up here, and once they’re all done, I’d love to make it into an actual deck available for ordering! As I finish the cards and get more information on the specifics, I’ll update it here!
