chris had fallen asleep an hour ago, but you are still scrolling on tiktok as you lie beside him. your free hand gently tangles in his hair as your other hand scrolls mindlessly from video to video.

suddenly, you come across a fan-made compilation of you and chris’s cute moments that were hidden in plain sight throughout a bunch of videos on him and his brothers’ channel.

the first clip came from a car video where you and chris were sat in the backseat and nick had stolen chris’s usual seat. there’s words written all over the screen telling viewers to watch the clip closely. as you watch, you smile seeing chris’s hand rest on your knee and your hand lying on top of his.

the second your hands touched in the clip, you gave each other a quick glance and a smile. you laugh softly at the fact that fans were noticing.

the next clip showed something you remembered vividly. matt had been streaming in his bedroom, chris sat beside him. you went in to find chris, and walked in at the same time he was jokingly making fun of you.

“oh, y/n?” you hear his voice clearly. “she has absolutely zero common sense.” 

you see yourself standing behind him, trying not to laugh. you also see matt, who had noticed you, but didn’t say a word.

“terrible survival instincts too,” he continues. “the other day she almost pet a racoon because it looked friendly, but i made her walk away. we watched the same racoon go after someone else who tried to pet it.”

you smile as you continue watching the clip.

chris briefly read the chat in the clip, laughing at a message. “yeah, she’s stupid, but i love her.”

“who are you calling stupid?” you hear yourself chime in. matt started cackling.

chris’s eyes got wide fast, and he slowly turned to you. “uhh..” he says, but you already grabbed a pillow from matt’s bed and slammed it in his face.

“i’m not stupid!” you yelled at him while laughing.

then, chris jumped at you, knocking you onto matt’s bed. you can hear both of you giggling while matt is both cackling and yelling at you two to not break his bed.

you see yourself flailing around and trying to escape his grasp as he squeezed your waist, the back of your neck, and everywhere else that made your body jump.

you can’t help but laugh at the memory.

in the next clip, you’re blindfolded during blind, deaf, and mute baking challenge. chris was deaf, headphones blasting music, and both nick and matt were mute.

you were yelling at chris, having thought that he was matt. meanwhile, nick and matt were trying not to make a sound as they laughed through duct tape.

chris just watched you as you kept yelling at him, looking around confused. it wasn’t until nick and matt started making crazy hand gestures at him that he realized you thought that he was matt, all the while you were still yelling at him.

chris smirked, an idea coming to mind, and he leaned in and kissed you, shutting you up. you immediately squeaked and pushed him away. not because you still thought he was matt, but because he startled you.

“not matt ohmygod,” you say, trying not to laugh despite yourself. “sorry chris,” you add.

“i love you!” he yells over his music.

as you watch, you glance over at chris’s sleeping frame, smiling. you press a kiss to his temple before continuing watching the video.

in the next clip, you had all just left a concert where you had decided to wear heels. you stood for hours, and your feet had hurt a lot.

you were whining and complaining as you walked awkwardly beside them and  nick and matt made fun of you for getting yourself into this situation.

“baby, i told you to wear comfy shoes,” chris said, a rare occasion of a pet name slipping from his lips on camera.

“but i had to wear the heels for the outfit,” you argued.

chris stopped walking, and so did the rest of you, confused. 

“can you jump in them?” he asked.

you raised an eyebrow. “jump? maybe. i definitely cannot land, though,” you said. “why?” 

chris turned around, crouching down. “hop on,” he said chivalrously.

you did immediately, whooping as he hoisted you up and held onto your legs firmly.

“fuck yeah,” you said. “much better.”

matt and nick laughed, making fun of chris. 

“someone thinks they’re a knight in shining armor,” nick said.

“don’t drop your princess,” matt added.

chris just ignored them, lost in his own little world with you.

you smile while watching back on that moment.

the rest of the video just includes various screenshots from videos of the two of you being touchy and affectionate. as the video starts looping back to the beginning, you save it before turning off your phone and setting it down on your nightstand.

you turn your body to face your sleeping boyfriend, who has curled closer against you in his sleep. you run a hand over his cheek, and he leans into it instinctively.

you can’t help but laugh softly. fans go crazy over the sweet moments they see on camera, but they haven’t even seen half of it.

and they never will. you like keeping your relationship something purely for the two of you and the people around you.

you settle against your pillow, arm around chris. you keep thinking about the compilation as you drift off to sleep.

yeah, you’re gonna search for more of them tomorrow.

becoming matt’s girlfriend also meant you became very close to nick. having nick as a best friend, matt as a boyfriend, and chris as another close friend that’s around most of the time, means you’re never bored.

today, chris is out with some other friends, so you, nick, and matt decided to film a lunch vlog for their youtube channel.

“what is up, youtube?” matt shouts energetically as he and nick pose ridiculously for the camera you’re holding. you can be heard laughing in the background, to which matt looks at you and smiles.

nick walks over, taking the camera from you and flipping it to you and matt.

“oh, me now?” you look surprised for a moment before addressing the camera. “uhh, hey, we’re getting lunch!” you smile awkwardly at the camera even though you’re very comfortable. 

that’s when matt wraps his arms around you from behind and squeezes you. you jump a little, laughing as he hugs you.

“hey!” nick shouts, grabbing matt off of you while still holding the camera. “that’s MY best friend!”

you grab the camera from nick, flipping it to show the two of them playfully throwing hands at each other. matt is laughing while nick is acting dead serious.

“she’s my girlfriend, man!” matt shouts, trying to get to you, but nick puts him in a chokehold and starts laughing too.

“ladiesss, calm down,” you say jokingly. “there’s plenty of me to go around.”

matt and nick start cackling as they lay off each other and walk back over to you.

the vlog cuts straight to the three of you at a small corner booth. you sitting next to matt, and nick sitting across from you. you’re peacefully eating the bread they served you as an appetizer, while matt steals a bite from your hand every so often. nick is watching with fake disgust as he mocks you to the camera.

“do you two ever stop being a stereotypical couple?” he asks in his funny tone that fans love.

“no,” matt says at the same time you shake your head. 

nick scoffs dramatically and reaches for matt’s hand across the table to jokingly pull him off of you. “hands off my best friend,” he says.

when nick does that, you playfully bite his arm. not hard enough to hurt, but enough to leave a mark for a minute.

“hey! you animal!” nick shouts, laughing  in shock.

“do not call my girlfriend an animal!” matt says, crawling out of the booth and climbing to nick’s side as you get stuck recording again. matt practically lays on top of nick as they both laugh and curse each other out quietly.

“hey, stop fighting over me,” you say.

they both look at you. matt’s playfulness suddenly disappears. “you’re worth fighting for,” he says, smiling at you with soft eyes.

you practically melt at his words. there’s a long moment of silence before nick ruins the moment by saying “gross.”

“you suck,” matt says, climbing back over to you. you wrap an arm around his shoulders and squish his face with the other hand.

“isn’t he cute?” you say to the camera, a big smile on your face. 

“cut this out,” matt says, bashful.

“noooo…” you reply.

“never,” nick adds.

“all this and we haven’t even ordered our lunch yet,” you say, faking a frown.

“do you wanna share something?” matt asks casually, to which you nod.

“i have to live with this,” nick says to the camera.

“and you love it,” you and matt both say at the same time, making all three of you laugh. just then, the waitress comes to take your orders. you all turn the camera off until your food arrives.

“this is what nick got,” you say, pointing the camera at nick’s plate. you flip the camera to you and matt’s shared plate. “and this is what we got.” 

“her favorite,” matt adds.

after a little bit of chatter and a few bites taken, you shut the video off again to just enjoy eating in each other’s company. there are plenty of sweet moments between you and matt that stay off camera. for example, you got some sauce on your chin, and matt wiped it off for you.

after you all pay, “you all” being matt,  you exit the restaurant and get back in the car where you film the outro, you sitting in chris’s classic car video seat.

“thank you all for watching,” matt says.

you smile at the camera happily, always loving being involved.

and then, matt films the classic close-up outro.

you all laugh together and blast music as you drive home, but matt’s words from earlier still echo through your mind.

“you’re worth fighting for.”

something meant to be silly in the moment became something so beautiful, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
