FIRST OPTION:

this destree amoako short dress in niagara blue

at first, i was sure this was my final pick, but i got a second opinion…. consensus is the dress is too grandma-y and puritan. i still like it, but i don’t want to give off that impression on my graduation day. the color is beautiful and would match my ceremony gown and cap, but i’m not sure it’s the right choice.

SECOND OPTION:

this sau lee bryn mini dress

simple and clean. it’s basic, but it fits what i’m looking for in a dress. again, it’ll go well with my cap and gown. my small dilemma is how it will look on my chest. i have the tiniest chest ever! so i have to go shopping for more undergarments.

THIRD OPTION:

this self-portrait white linen midi dress

not my favorite option. it’s a safe color and length. but every woman graduating will be wearing white dresses, and i don’t want to look like every other woman during the ceremony.

more time for self care

i’ve worked myself so hard in 2025. handling two jobs while finishing university early and planning a study abroad trip, i had no time for self care or relaxation. now that i’ve quit one of my jobs and finished school, i can pour back into myself. for me, this doesn’t only include spas and getaways, but also exercise, setting boundaries, sitting down and making a detailed plan of my goals, wants, and needs, so that i’m not as stressed. i need to get back in my zoom, as some say.

get out of my comfort zone.

this means going out more, meeting AND following up with people and asking for more . last year, i got pretty lax with these things and secluded myself after a terrible friendship breakup. while it was good to reflect, i was disappointed in myself for not trusting my gut about the person who i became friends with and eventually was hurt by. it made me take another look at my friendships and what i actually want in a friendship with someone new. so this year, i’m going to expand my circle. connection is everything and i need connect well.

focus on my personal plans
