nikki begging bear to kill her and all he does is ask whats so bad about being with him. one of the most nauseating scenes ive ever witnessed

Bear is one of the most selfish men in cinema. He has little reaction to Nikki stabbing herself, he destroys Nikki's life instead of just asking her out, his selfishness results in the death of his two best friends, and kills himself and let's Nikki deal with the consequences of HIS ACTIONS instead of giving Nikki she wants.

IMO Obsession will be a classic once enough time has passed. This will be one of those movies that young adults from the next generation will want to watch. I know Hollywood will take all of the wrong lessons from this and Backrooms, but it gives me such HOPE that we’ll get to see some really gut wrenching films coming forward. I can’t wait to WANT to go to the movie theater. Ugh I loved Obsession.

I just watched obsession. What the fuck. Absolutely terrifying. Insanely skilled acting. Tense as shit. Awesome scoring and camera work. An absolutely wild experience and I’m gonna be traumatised for a week. 10/10 highly recommend

the thing is bear doesn’t even really know nikki. they’ve been “friends” for a long time but he barely even listens to her, he didn’t even question her concern for her dad’s cancer when Ian and Sarah both immediately poked holes in not!Nikki’s story. all the shots of Nikki obscured in darkness showing not only is she Not there but also she’s never been there, bear has never seen her. only the silhouette of her life on his. and if the one wish willow could puppeteer her husk more seamlessly, he’d be satisfied with the shell of her…

it’s really chilling to realize the “not me” written on the polaroid is most likely Nikki trying to say that she is not herself
