I found your post on James gunn and his controversial tweets. I think a big thing people are forgetting is who brought it up to begin with. It was a trump supporter that brought those to attention when those tweets were made during a time where pedo bear were ok and repeated. He apologized and went on to support metoo and other things. If viv did that she would dance around the issue. If you look at gunns apology tweets he doesn't make excuses. Viv would and viv has.

So if it wasn't a Trumper you would take it more seriously I get it. I have seen the same people rake Scott Hawthorn of fnaf fame for just donating to conservative causes like hes Hitler and the kkk grand wizard combined. I do think some things can be overblown but the minute ypu said Trumper I smell hot biases.

i dont think whites understand how being white makes literally everything easier.

being autistic is easier when youre white.

oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.

you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.

As someone who is intentionally childfree, can childfree people stop being so fucking annoying?? Why are you so doomerist about everything? Why do some of you hate children? It is WEIRD. Your feelings are valid but some thoughts are better kept to yourself. Just because you don’t understand why other people would want children doesn’t mean people like to hear it.

I don’t like childfree people harping on how having children is morally/financially irresponsible because even if sometimes that may be the case, I don’t believe only rich people are ethically allowed to have kids. Parents have it hard enough and for those who already have existing children, they don’t need to hear your complaints. As a childfree auntie who has nieces and nephews she loves, I’m invested in children’s future and I don’t like people telling me the kids are screwed either.

Even for those of us who aren’t having children, I don’t want to hear how all children are doomed because this planet is doomed. Children are signs of hope and resilience. Intentional or not, people have had children between famine and nuclear wars. The human race has faced existential challenges before and we will do it again or literally die trying. If you aren’t interested in having or helping children to have a better future, then at least don’t be part of the problem.
