Eir, the Pawmot, is finally awake after an unexpected fainting spell. Her familiar, Omen, seems upset that she’s been pushing herself too much. After a glimpse into Eir’s past reveals her ability to revive the dead, it seems Eir still has more work to do to hone her powers.

Eir seems taken aback by Destino's sharp tone. "I..." she starts. While she isn't unused to harsh words from those she heals, it still comes as a surprise.

She takes a breath, summoning her strength. "You know, we've only just met and you've already made such assumptions about me..."

"But the fact that you think helping others is pandering? I'm sincerely sorry you feel that way."

It seems Eir has more she could say, but she just sighs instead. Hopefully this training will help with their empathy as well as their strength.

"Hehe, it'll be nice to make some new friends!"

"..." Omen stares at Xoloet intently, his tail a flickering flame. They don't say anything to the other pokemon but seem interested in their appearance.

"Ah, I'm sorry!" Eir says to Xoloet. "I'm surprised Omen is even showing themself. They must be interested in you though!"

"He usually talks with me via telepathy," she adds. If he's not ignoring me. "I think it's something to do with our bond. On the rare occasion that he talks, it's usually to say something really important!"

"I don't think it has anything to do with privacy though...we're almost always together anyway so it works out. Omen's definitely not that outgoing, hehe!"

"It's not that I can't use it...It's just that - I shouldn't," she states with a sigh. "Life and death, chaos and order...they're in such a particular balance. It all seems so fragile. Who knows what bringing someone back to life could possibly do to this world? What it already did to this world with Omen? Y'know, the whole butterfly effect thing?"

"Reviving Omen already has me worrying, there are so many unknowns. What if I already did something to mess everything up?"

"Calyx assures me everything is okay, but how can I really know?" Eir's worried expression almost looks pained. "Time keeps moving on but what if this disruption did more than we can see right now?"

"It's a bigger responsibility than I ever wanted to have..."

"My family were the first to tell me." Eir sighs, shrinking in on herself. "It's been ingrained in me since I was little. Thinking back, I can't recall an earlier memory."

"But I can't speak to the toll on my body," she looks away from Khione. "I've never been very strong to begin with. As far as I can tell, Omen's revival didn't do anything to me. I don't quite understand all the details surrounding our pact, Calyx might be able to explain it a bit better..."

"Ah, but it's curious you mentioned Xerneas," Eir says, changing the topic. "Where you're from are they the only pokemon that can revive the dead? My elders have passed down stories about Xerneas but no one has seen them for centuries."
