Dream Draw - Sentai

I had this SUPER COOL dream where I was a sort of Super Sentai and I looked like this. I dunno what started the dream, but I sure know that I've fallen in love with this design.

I’ve been enjoying Star Allies lately! And I LOVE playing as Marx!

I’ve kept these hidden for a year now, and I think it’s high-time to show them off before they collect dust.

During my last year and last semester of high school, I had to create twelve pieces based on a central theme that I had to pick, and my theme was song and dance-based characters as though they were part of an RPG. I’ll be grouping them up in a specific way, because there were multiple points in time where the art style drastically changed. So for now, these three are from the early points in the project, and where I was most bright-eyed for the project.

I did create characters with minor ideas of how they play, so in order by creation:

Belle is a ballerina that defected from the royal army after they were tasked with destroying innocent lives. She would have started out as an anti-hero and then into a party member. She would’ve had rhythmic button-press attacks to string combos.

Brook is a break dancer who grew up with a large war practically in her backyard, and understood that if no one stops it, everyone would perish, so she set out to fix the wrong in the world. She would be the first character the player would play as, so she has a basic moveset of kicks of varying strength.

Luigi’s Balloon World really is something, huh?

I first talked to Luigi in the Skeleton outfit, and I wasn’t initially aware of the multiple possible conversations depending on what you wear, so it struck me as INCREDIBLY funny. Top it off with a mental voice in my head of Mario with the voice that livestreamer Vinesauce gives to him, it turned out probably much funnier to me than I expected it to be!

Here’s another Overwatch thumbnail my brother paid me for! While I wanted to not make a blatant reference with this one, I still had to make a reference of some kind by including anything related to David Hasselhoff and Zarya (For… some reason?) I chose to reference the single that Hasselhoff did for Kung Fury, True Survivor, since it felt a bit more interesting to do than what was originally offered to me.

My brother and I had an in joke a while ago where I referred to the concept art fot Genji and Hanzo as “Gonzo”. Which, became a silly doodle, and then a commission from my brother for him to use as a thumbnail for a highlight video he made.
