GET OUT OF MY LIFE OMFG
what would you do, if the king died tomorrow, and you had to take up the throne
Take up the throne? Become king when he was just getting used to life as a prince?
Lose Aiden. One of his closest friends. Just he thought made him want to vomit.
â⌠Wouldnât do it.â He admitted with a bitter smile. âIâd find someone else to take my place. Thereâs gotta be someone more suited for the throne than me.â He was confident in his abilities as a fighter, but.. as a prince? As a king? That was a different story.

Oh. Thatâs what he meant. It didnât particularly feel hot when he was outside yesterdayâof course, thinking back on it, it did seem warm enough that others would consider it hot. But not for him, be it something  in his blood, or some sort of magic, his body temperature had always adapted to his surroundings, making him comfortable in a wide range of temperatures.Â
âI donât feel hot easily, but I could go change, if you wantâmy room is just back there.â Being a dancer, it was a necessary, if not encouraged skill to let others make his decisions for him. He was so used to being directed around, it was instinctive for him to bend to the will of others. Making his own choices almost took effort now.Â
... If he wanted? Huh. Pretty submissive guy. And here Leon was expecting some sort of smartass rebuttal, but he sounded pretty sincere. "If ya don't get hot easily, then there's no need to change your clothes... s'your choice really." He assured, glancing behind the other, where he caught sight of a few of his servants chatting amongst themselves and making random hand gestures.
Shit.
Were they looking for him? No, no. He slept in past the hour he was supposed to train. He was sure of it this time!
...Better to be safe than sorry though. Groaning, the prince retracted to the room one door down from the others, scurrying to hide under the bed. Hopefully the boy was decent enough to keep his mouth shut about the prince's whereabouts.

Shit. Shit. Areilleâs mind raced as the boy took his hands away from his eyes. He hadnât planned to meet someone so soon after leaving his room, let alone at all, he hadnât even had time to pull up his spells. There was a weak one, always intact, but it wouldnât hide his scar much. Frantically, he pulled up a charm to conceal, if not make anyone who saw his scar indifferent.Â
It was not until the spell was up, that he could breathe easily again and hear the other boyâs words.
ââŚHuh?â He managed, confused. Maybe he was still flustered from the panic. Was the boy talking about his sweater? âWhat do you mean?â
"--...." No. There was no way. He couldn't have been that oblivious. No one was. Maybe he was still recovering from running into the prince. Fine, he could be given the benefit of the doubt for now. Leon would have been flustered if he ran into a prince too--well, if it weren't for the fact that he was one himself. This boy did know he was a prince, right? "Your sweater." He replied, finally tearing his gaze away from the clothing only to focus on the others face. Yep. Definitely not from Cinaed. "..--Do ya even know where you are?" He added after a moment, a hand going to rest on his hip while the other one pointed at the strangers sweater again. "You're in the kingdom of Cinaed, not Am Aqueous or Aeolous." Aeolous would be cold too, wouldn't it? Well, windy at least. "Cinaed is anything but cold, in case ya haven't noticed."

Cinaed, the country of fire. Oh how he wished he was anywhere but here. Everywhere he goes, everywhere he looks, heâs reminded of the violent element that melted his flesh and scarred his face. Of the agonizing pain, of his mother.
He would have stayed in his room, fearful of the bright and glowing country surrounding himâbut now was not the time. He was here, to maintain the peace between two rival countries, and he canât fail his kingdom now.Â
So with a weary sigh, he pulled himself of bed and donned simple black jeans, shirt, and a sweater. True, he usually wears revealing and flirty clothingâbut that was not to say he didnât own anything normal.Â
Glancing though the door to his room, he spotted a hall he didnât remember. Then again, last night he was too tired to notice anything. A good place as any, to start.
But he was not even one yard away from his room, around a corner, before he bumped into a boy, hard. And landed on top of the boy on the ground.
âI-Iâm so sorry!â Scrambled up frantically, he helped the other boy up as well.
He just couldn't go anywhere without running into trouble--or in this case, trouble running into him. Presumed trouble, at least, until the unfamiliar person was screaming their apologies.
Who the hell..
"Ow ow ow.." The prince brought a hand over his eyes, groaning as he gripped the others arm and picked himself up, still a little wobbly from the impact.
Leon didn't know the names, nor the faces of a good majority of the citizens of Cinaed, along with outsiders, but he did know the inhabitants that lived in his own kingdom. And this boy was not one of them. He could tell even with his eyes covered, though it was confirmed as soon as he dropped his hand.Â
Who in their right mind would wear a sweater in Cinaed? The country of fire, a place that was well over 80 degrees all around the year. No one was stupid enough to wear such ridiculously warm clothes in a place that was rarely, if ever cold.
"... --s'fine." Came the boy's murmur, his gaze remaining fixed on the others attire. Leon was sweating just from looking at him. ".. What's with the getup?" He cocked his head to the side, gesturing with an index finger to the sweater.

SCREAMS BECAUSE I HAVE THE BEST SON EVER
Acquire | pridefulheir
If it isnât the little prince.
The twins bowed in unity, saluted formally with their hands above their hearts. They has no particular respect for royalty, but that is not to say they have no respect. It is merely that they see people as people, such superficial titles have no impact on them. They judge based on actions, and not appearances alone.
The king, for example, they do not know well. From what they have seen, he seems to be hold high care for his kingdom, though is easily strayed. The queen weights above him, in their eyes. She holds herself high, and preserves her dignity. However, they do not hold the highest position for the twins. For there is a prince, who despite his attitude and vanity, despite his stubbornness and disobedience, still strives to be a person high above his ability. All for the sake of a mother long gone, all because of a bitter lesson of humility.Â
It is to be said, they respect the little prince very much.Â
âYour majestyââ
âdo you require our assistance?â
Their actions synchronized eerily, the twins gestured to the prince with their hands in question.
âIf thereâs anything weââ
ââmay help you with,â
ââwe would be glad to.â
If there was anyone Leon could always count on to put a smile on his face, it was the twins. The only two aside from Aiden who knew all about his past. His life on the streets, his life as a servant.. his mother and his goal. Everything.
And though they never said it out loud, Leon truly believed they respected him because of his past. Because of his unyielding desire to make his mother proud. Because Leon was, without a doubt, different from other prince's.
They would have no other reasons to respect him because Leon understood full well that didn't just respect anyone regardless of their status. Not only that, but they treated him exactly the same as everyone else, until he opened up to the pair.
From then on, they were his friends and he wouldn't trade them for anything.
"Heh, how many times do I have to tell ya? It's not 'your majesty.' S'leon." He corrected them, uncomfortable with the formal greeting, but smiling brightly nevertheless.
"Ah, but--I don't really need anythin'.. I was just gonna go get some trainin' done..." He sighed, gaze casting to the ground. He thought he had slept in long enough to avoid having to go train, but as it turns out, he had woken up an hour early. He really hated when that happened.
Ah, but the twins were here! They could help him. They offered to anyways, right? Regaining his happy composure, Leon flashed a wide grin, feigning an innocent tone. "Hey.. actually, there is somethin' you guys can help me with.. get me outta trainin'? Please?"
âNo snack?â {/Oh no! What should she do then? She couldnât find anyone around the palace to feed her and then of course she couldnât even find the kitchen half the time so she was kind of on her own. But then he had something! He had candy! Bouncing on her heels happily, the child almost caught the treat, but dropped it on the ground before picking it up and then taking it and popping it in her mouth, forgetting to take the paper off.}
"Jeez..." She didn't even bother to peel the wrappings off. Was she really that desperate for food? He knew kids really enjoyed candy and all.. but to be so excited for one single lollipop.. he had to wonder how long it had been since she was last fed. "You're supposed to take the paper off, ya know.." A small frown tugged at the boy's lips, finding it hard to believe she hadn't realized that she had to remove the paper on her own. Wasn't that common knowledge for anyone above the age of two? What a worrisome kid. "Where are you from?"
âNo.â
Alair glanced at the boy before him dryly before turning away, gazing elsewhere. After he had finally found a relatively quiet surrounding to read, he was interrupted⌠again. But the fact that someone had disrupted his reading was merely a portion of the reason that he was upset. After all, ever since he had joined the militia, he had nothing on his mind but a strong anxiety preventing him from the daily activities he usually does on a regular basis.
But all that aside, the boy on the other hand, seemed to not be in the best mood either.Â
Well, at least Iâm not the only oneâŚ
âLook, if you have no business with me, could you leave me alone?â
Brows knitting together, a look of clear annoyance made itself apparent as Leon folded his arms over his chest and leaned against his door frame, golden optics locked onto the unfamiliar face before closing with a heavy sigh. Now just who did this guy think he was, acting like a little brat in his kingdom, outside of his room? The prince had half a mind to tell him to take his book and shove off somewhere else, but he was hardly in the mood to start unnecessary conflict when the other had in fact wanted to be left alone.
Expelling an irritated huff, Leon turned around. "Whatever. I'm goin' back to bed. Enjoy your book, old man." Obviously referring to the elder's pale colored hair, the boy snickered, pausing a moment to see whether or not he was going to get a reaction.

A pair of pale hazel eyes swung from side to side, monitoring their surroundings with disinterest as the boy continued forward. Heâd gradually begun to lose track of time and the distance he had traveled ever since departing the cityâs gates, but a glance overhead at the setting sun informed him of the hours heâd lost wondering aimlessly through empty fields of green. Itâd have been wise to have brought a map of the country along with him before heading out in an unfamiliar direction, but his poor mood had been the one to send him outward, and it wasnât until civilization was no longer in sight that Colin considered what a disadvantage heâd created for himself. Nevertheless, he hadnât any intention of returning that same day, despite the possibility that heâd be needed for something now that heâd finally made it into the kingâs military. Sleeping outside on the grass didnât seem that poor of an idea, but as he settled down on the upward-sloped terrain, the shadow of a figure emerged from behind him. A bit of life returned to his eyes as they glinted in the crimson sunlight, cocking his head back just enough to meet the gaze of the stranger towering above his seated form.
         âWho are youâ?â
He knew they were watching. Close by, keeping an eye on him from trees, bushes, and whatever else they could use to conceal themselves. Though he had reassured them that he would be fine, just as always, he understood that would be tracking him, because departing into his own royal city was one thing, but outside of it was an entirely different story. The prince had his independence and was more than confident in his abilities, but even he had to admit that being followed around while outside the city was comforting, especially since dusk was steadily approaching, not to mention the figure seated on a hill. From a distance, it looked like a child. Could they be lost? He was in a bit of a hurry to return to his kingdom before the king realized he was gone, but.. he could make some time to check up on a possibly lost kid. Who knows. Perhaps the king had gone to sleep by now, still blissfully unaware of Leon's absence. Aiden had been under a great deal of stress lately, so retiring a little early wouldn't be a surprise. Best to keep some hope alive, right? Slowly beginning to advance towards the figure, a closer look caused the boy to snicker at the messy mop of a hairstyle they had. Their parents must have been really neglectful to let that happen, unless of course, they didn't have parents, which would also make sense, as they wouldn't have anyone to teach them how to tend to their hair. Luckily for Leon, his mother taught him at a young age, or did it herself on occasion. A light sigh escaped the prince at the fond memories of his mother trying to force down that stubborn part of his hair and before he knew it, he was just a few feet behind the figure.. who he conquered was not a lost child at all, but a teen, roughly his age, looking back up at him. Oops. And his hair was white. He was really slender too. Key features of someone who was from Aeolous.. though it appeared that he didn't know who Leon was. This was a little unusual. It was normally the other way around.
"...M'no one in particular. Just passing by, don't mind me."
"--..." Sigh.
