Ingredients: 4 burger patties 1/4 pound each. 4 slices Swiss cheese. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 8 oz mushrooms, sliced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped. 1/2 cup beef broth. 1/4 cup heavy cream. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. Butter for toasting buns. Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for garnish.
Instructions: Use salt and pepper to season the burger patties. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Put in the burger patties and cook for three to four minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they're done the way you like them. Put the garlic, rosemary, and mushrooms in the same pan. Cook the mushrooms until they turn brown and get soft. Add heavy cream and beef broth. Let the sauce thicken for 5 minutes while it's simmering. Add pepper and salt. Put the hamburger buns in a different pan and butter it. Toast them until they are golden brown. Grill the burgers and put them on the bottom half of each bun. Add slices of Swiss cheese on top. Pour the mushroom and rosemary pan sauce over the patties that have cheese on top of them. Put lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices on top. Put the top half of the bun on top and serve hot.
