YOOOO IRISH DANCERS. Just thought I’d share: If you’re trying to get your front clicks to be higher, (this might be totally wrong feel free to call me out. I’m not educated in this area at all) but in my observations, working on your splits doesn’t do anything for your clicks. Its more the ability to whip your foot up quickly than maintaining splits vertically. You need strength more than flexibility. Some flexibility is helpful; it’s helped me to work on hip flexors and hamstrings, but not being able to get anywhere near splits hasnt really affected my clicks. Many dancers I know can do splits easily but can only get their clicks to chest level. Others are nowhere near splits but have clicks well above their head. Just thought I’d throw that out there, since a lot of people I’ve talked to have thought that splits automatically equals high clicks
