About: Elliot Raws
PERSONAL:
Full Name: Elliot James Raws Nickname: El, Smelliot Do they like their nickname?: Every single one. He sees them as terms of endearment when they come from people he loves. Strangers, it’s a bit weirder. The assumption was always English, German, and maybe Welsh. Religion: Grew up Catholic, absolutely does not practice it. Pets: A hamster named Oreo, a Golden Retriever named Sparks. Major: Art Minor: Painting Current Occupation: Assistant at the Birdhouse, Waiter at Dark Desires Sexuality: Bisexual Relationship Status: Single Do they drive? What kind of car do they own?: He can’t drive, but he really wants to learn.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Height: 5′8 Body Type: Lean and muscular. Hair Color: Brown Hair Type: Wavy Hair Style: Usually on the longer side - never shorter than his ears, never longer than his shoulders. Eye Color: Brown Glasses/Contacts?: If he wasn’t an incubus, he probably would have issues. When he doesn’t feed for awhile, his eyesight gets blurry. Prominent Features: His big eyes are the first things people tend to notice. Scars: None Tattoos: None - he’s considering it. Piercings: None Health Problems or Conditions: He would argue being an incubus is a problem, but it’s not. Style: Plain and colorful. He has the same few t-shirts all in different colors. A denim jacket. He has a zip-up grayish blue hoodie that’s essentially his “comfort clothes”, wearing it when he’s tired or has been having a bad day, because the hood is long enough for him to pull it over his eyes and not be bothered. The only shoes he ever wears are Converse. He does have some nicer clothes from a previous claim that he’s kept - because they’re expensive and tailored specifically to him anyway - but he keeps it casual. Notable Jewelry: His claim bracelet, green with yellow flowers. He likes wearing a watch, too. Grooming: Elliot is very clean and put together. He loves showers.
PAST:
Mother’s Name: Delilah Raws Mother’s Maiden Name: Raws Status: Deceased. She was in a car accident with a tractor trailer in the wintertime when the trailer got caught in a patch of black ice. Relationship: They had a wonderful mother-son relationship. As a single mom, she doted on Elliot and wanted to raise him to be the best he could be. And Elliot adored her, she was his best friend. They had a very comfortable relationship, where Elliot felt he could truly tell her anything. If she had lived to Elliot’s adulthood, their relationship really would have been wholesome. Father’s Name: Mitch Wyatt Status: Unknown Relationship: They met when Mitch was here briefly, but Elliot was going through a lot at the time and didn’t have the opportunity to really get to know his dad like he would have liked to. Now that he knows his name, he’s planning on reaching out to him after he leaves the Institute. Siblings: None he’s aware of. What was their childhood like?: Elliot had a very fun and lively childhood. He grew up on a farm, so he had responsibility from an early age to contribute. They were technically a poultry farm, because they did have a lot of chickens, but his grandfather was gifted a lot of cows after a friend of his passed away, so they had cows too. That wasn’t until Elliot was a bit older, but he’d learned how to drive a tractor, he’d clean and feed the animals, and assisted in a calf birth once. His grandparents were on the stricter side, not that happy with their daughter having a bastard child, but they raised him with love. After Delilah passed away, there was an emptiness in the house. His grandfather and he didn’t get along very well, especially when Elliot would refuse to go to church on Sundays. His grandmother and he were closer, but his grandfather just didn’t know how to be around him. The older Elliot got, the worse it got, and one night he was fed up enough to run away. Earliest Memory: His mom painting his bedroom yellow when he was a toddler. Happiest Memory: Dollywood with his mom, and seeing her in concert about a year and a half before she passed away. Saddest Memory: A tie between his mother’s passing, and meeting Gio. Education: His education is pretty bad. He went to a small elementary school, middle school, and high school for a very, very brief stint. He dropped out rather quickly to help out with the family farm, and ran away not long after that. Past Jobs: Working out of a casino/hotel in Las Vegas. Police Record: Technically, Elliot is still considered a missing person in the state of Virginia because his case hasn’t been closed. He has been arrested in connection with some of the work he did for Gio, but thanks to a little supernatural magic and force, charges were never brought. Major Past Trauma/Illness - Are they still affected?: Oh, boy, where does he even begin? He’s never gotten over how fast his mother’s life was taken, and never will - she was out running errands for him because he was “sick”, later finding out the incubi can’t get sick. That he thinks about often. He had such a poor relationship with his grandfather that he figured the best course of action was to just up and leave in the middle of the night, hitchhiking rides with strangers and paying for bus tickets until he ran out of money. Then there was the psychological torment of being with Gio for five years, until he had to run away again to the Institute. And then, Gio found him there and proceeded to torment him some more until Elliot couldn’t take it anymore, snapping under the pressure when running away wasn’t an option, seizing the opportunity to drain Gio of life force after the djinn was critically wounded by Noah. So, yes, he is still affected.
SEX & ROMANCE:
First crush: He really doesn’t know. He was one of those kids that had a lot of love to give. He’d give Valentine’s day presents to everyone. He’d probably say it was one of his early elementary school teachers. First sexual experience - Was it a good or bad one?: Even now, with how confusing his relationship with Gio has since been, it’s hard to look back on his first experience with malice. Logically he knows it was wrong and should never have happened, that he was somewhat pressured, he doesn’t look at it the same way most people regard “losing their virginity”. As an incubus, it was just... learning how to eat properly. So it’s a bit muddled, but it was in the hotel room he was staying in. Sexual Type: Submissive, learning how to be a Switch Turn Ons: Light Bondage, Temperature Play, Choking, Rough Sex, Aftercare, Cuddling, Multiple Partners, Gentleness Turn Offs: Bathroom Play, Pet Play, Blood Play Love Type: Elliot can be a bit of a romantic - or at least, he wants to be, but he isn’t entirely sure how. He doesn’t vocalize it very often with anyone, platonic or romantic, but he shows his affection through touch and gestures. He’ll send someone a present, or he’ll try to plan a day revolving around the person in question. He likes being able to make people feel special. And Elliot’s still a fairly skittish and shy person, so any hugs or touches coming from him is a good sign that he’s comfortable. Significant Past Relationships: Gio is his biggest past anything, taking up such a prominent spot in an impressionable time in his life. So many precautions he takes and insecurities he has about himself are because of Gio.
MENTAL WELLNESS:
Psychological Issues/Mental Illnesses: None Outlook on Life: That keeping positive and keeping moving are both important. Myers-Briggs Personality Type: ISFJ Temperament: Melancholic Sun Sign: Scorpio Moon Sign: Gemini Rising Sign: Gemini Venus Sign: Libra Alignment: Neutral Good Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff What/Who do they value most?: His friends, his pets, and his artwork. What/Who are they willing to die for?: His closest friends. If his mom was alive, she’d be number one. Personal Philosophy: Always be kind. Biggest Fear: He really doesn’t like snakes. But in terms of non-tangible things, he has a fear that he’ll never be whole again, or that he’s too emotionally damaged. Or the dark. Are they superstitious?: Not really. He never really was, and figured he’s had enough bad luck for a lifetime, so a broken mirror or him stepping on some cracks in the sidewalk are the least of his concerns. Greatest Strength: His creativity. It’s the one thing that despite all he’s been through, has never wavered. His love of art. He isn’t the best at expressing himself through words, so he lets his own pieces do the talking. Greatest Weakness: He shuts down at struggle. He hasn’t learned to fight back. Good Characteristics: Elliot’s incredibly kind, and patient with people. He cares deeply about his friends. He loves animals and he’s very meticulous about any sort of art. He takes care of Noah’s landscaping and is very precise about it. He pays attention to details about things and people. And he thinks he has some pretty good taste in music. He’s soft and sees the world as a very beautiful place. Bad Characteristics: His temper is not great and has gotten worse over the years. While it does take a lot to set him over the edge, when he is pushed that far, it’s very difficult to bring him back in. He’ll start to spiral. And any sort of disagreements or fights he has with the people he loves makes him panic, that they’re mad at him or that he did something wrong and will try very hard to make up for that - even if he doesn’t know what he’s trying to make up for. Favorite thing about themself? Why?: He’s proud of how far he’s come in life. He knows he has a lot of work to do, but every day he makes it a point to remind himself that he’s doing okay. Least favorite? Why?: The fact that he’s an incubus - a demon, makes him believe he’s predisposed to do bad, and to be bad, and to attract unsavory people into his life. He’s terrified of his own species. Biggest regret: Running away from home. Proudest moment: Running away from Gio. Quirks: Elliot can’t sleep with the door shut. In the cells, he got used to it because there were other people with him, but if he stays over someone’s house, the door has to be open, even by a crack. Anywhere he goes. He’ll admit it’s a claustrophobia, but it’s more him wanting there to be some sort of exit route. How are they in crisis?: Typically, he’s pretty good in crisis. He’s had some pretty bad experiences so he usually knows how to handle things. When there’s circumstances outside of people’s control, like bad weather or someone else getting injured somehow, he’s pretty good. When it has anything to do with himself, is when he can’t think straight and needs the help. What do they wish to change most about themself?: His species. And he just wants to stop being so shy and skittish, but he’s worried that’s just who he is, and beyond change.
SPEECH & COMMUNICATION:
Pace: Slow and deliberate, like he’s contemplating every word carefully - he usually is. Unless he’s excited or nervous, then he doesn’t stop rambling. Voice Tone: His voice is pretty quiet, and not very deep. Accent/Dialect: Elliot, being a Southern boy, still has a bit of his Virginia twang in his voice, but it was trained out of him a bit in Vegas, so he could sound “more intelligent.” Speech Patterns: He stutters a bit, more when he’s nervous. He’s been getting better, but because he isn’t very good at expressing himself, he trips over his words a lot - hence why he speaks slow. Favorite Words/Phrases: He really doesn’t swear a lot, so he doesn’t consider anything like that to be a favorite. The phrases he seems to say a lot are usually apologies, but he wouldn’t consider that favorites. He does really like fun greetings, or things that rhyme. Mannerisms/Demeanor: Elliot’s a bit twitchy, spending years in abusive situations in Vegas. Flinches at loud sounds still. Otherwise fairly calm, keeping his hands still and his head straight. Stiff when nervous. Somewhat resembles a lost dog. Posture: He only ever slouches when he’s alone, or comfortable with someone. Gestures: His greetings are usually little smiles and his hand waving very slightly from his hip. A typical Elliot “hello”. How good are they at lying?: Honestly, Elliot’s a fairly decent liar. He isn’t proud of it, but regards it as something of a survival skill. He’s good in the moment, but keeping up with lies for long periods of time has historically not worked out well for him.
BEHAVIOR:
Finances: Elliot’s actually pretty good with money, because he never knows what to spend it on - so he just sits on it. Alcohol Use: He doesn’t drink very often. Drug Use: He likes CBD gummies, and he does smoke cigarettes quite a bit. Morning/Night Person?: A morning person. Morning Routine: Elliot usually wakes up early. He’ll usually go for a run or try to do a workout somewhere, showering and eating breakfast after that. Day Routine: If he doesn’t have school, he’s in an art studio somewhere, or he’s going for a swim. Typically one of those two things, unless he’s behind on other chores or homework. Those take priority. Evening Routine: Sometimes he’ll take a little nap before dinner. But he winds down with dinner and a movie anytime he can. He likes going to the movie theater if he has the time and gets two large popcorns for himself. He usually takes the dog for a walk when the sun is going down. Sometimes he’ll take a second shower if he’s feeling particularly sweaty. Night Routine: He’s usually asleep pretty early, but likes to fall asleep to music or the television. He can typically be found passed out with one earbud still in. Sleep Habits: Elliot’s a very light sleeper. He’ll wake up a few times in the night, but it’s usually easy for him to fall back asleep unless he’s had a nightmare. Then he’s up, and his morning begins. Special Skills: He’s pretty good with art, but painting is a medium he likes the best because he likes color so much. He has a very good eye, so he’s neat and tidy, which helps him keep himself organized. He’s very good with animals - they all seem to gravitate towards him, probably because they don’t see him as much of a threat. He can eat - a lot. Like, he’d be able to win eating contests without breaking a sweat. He’s fairly athletic and he’s not terrible at sewing, having helped his grandmother with her various crafts back when he was younger. Not a bad singer, but never when people are around. Unskilled at: Art history and sculpture and sketching with charcoal or pencil isn’t so much his medium. He isn’t a great dancer. Elliot is bad at baking - the temperatures and everything are different, and seem so easy on Cake Wars. Not great at holding his liquor and he’s terrible at math and spelling. Hobbies: He’s been saving up for a camera to take real pictures not on the school’s phone. He swims and works out a lot, using it as a release for any negative energy he has - going for a run is his default if he’s had an aggrevating day. Elliot is oftentimes found at the movies and has started to really like cooking - but not baking, never baking. But he never says no to a night in sweatpants, curled under a blanket and watching TV for hours, a bag of chips on the floor next to him for easy access. Elliot’s a bit of an introvert, so most things that can be done indoors or by himself are things he enjoys.
