This footage depicts Dr. Marjorie Wu volunteering for an experimental non-lethal extraction method for a particularly dangerous Gestid breed. The breed in question would not typically cause damage the host during birth, however, once birthed it would become extremely violent and difficult to contain. Efforts were made by the genealogy department to terminate the alien while it gestated, but it was discovered that this breed had an extreme defense mechanism:

"as soon as any interference occurred to the embryo, the Gestid would produce a massive amount of fluid inside the host, with the aim of either triggering the host’s gag reflex and escaping through an emergency oral birth, or by bursting the host through sheer liquid volume and escaping that way."

These were tough constraints to work under, but Dr Wu’s team engineered an ingenious solution through a combination of repurposed medical devices and expert biochemistry.

The procedure starts with the administration of a bespoke engineered drug injected into the hip of the subject. This takes 20 minutes to take effect and will allow greater elasticity in the subject's skin. Prolonged use of the drug will incur major health problems, but in this small dose it will create a safe window of time where her abdomen will be capable of expanding 3 times larger than an average full-term pregnancy. In the video, Dr. Wu can be heard explaining the procedure as the doctors fasten the “Goalkeeper Belt”, a term our doctors use for medical belts that are fastened tightly under the bust of the subject to prevent aliens from making their way up the esophagus to escape.

Next, the doctors inject a chemical compound directly into the abdomen of Dr. Wu. This compound was formulated in our labs to incur a destructive genetic loop in the alien, causing it to quickly disintegrate into the amniotic fluid in a matter of minutes. Despite the speed of this disintegratation, it cannot prevent the alien from activating its defense mechanism, and her stomach immediately swells with the sudden release of gallons of fluid. But now, as the belt prevents escape out the mouth and the drug allows her abdomen to swell as far as needed, Dr. Wu simply needs to withstand a few moments of uncomfortable swelling until she can be drained. In this time, two doctors will stand by to handle the swell of her abdomen and ease any discomfort. After a moment, the swelling will slow, and the doctors can latch the draining tube straight into her bellybutton and flush out all remaining foreign bodies.
