 Another snicker was the answer at first as he washed his hands before returning to even out the mixture with a spoon. His boyfriend had no idea the openings he was giving him to twist words around and make them seem less than innocent.

 “Oh am I supposed to before I whip cream and beat meat too?” he asked. He was playing at innocent, but the smirk he wore told the real story.

HM??? Okay, fair play--he did open up the conversation to be chock full of innuendos. Now it’d just be a matter of how creative they could get.

 “We’ve got this, don’t worry so much,” Yuu replied. He moved his hand from Mika’s and wrapped his arm around him instead. Physical touch was very much needed right now he figured.

 He couldn’t be upset with him for it though. He knew he had a tendency to do that a lot himself, especially when it came to the important things. And being robbed back in Italy hadn’t helped that a bit. Actually, that may have been where it started. Oh well, the specifics in that didn’t matter.

 “Truthfully, I’m a little nervous too. But I know we planned the heck out of this and took every step to make sure its going to run smooth. Right? We got this.”

Mikaela’s head settles back as he let gravity flop him against Yuu, at least thankful that his partner had taken the time to figure out cues---for what it was worth, though, Yuu was as touchy as he was. It worked well when one or the other was running rampant on nerves, like the blond was currently.

 Well if he wasn’t thinking about it before, he certainly was now! That was really the only thing he could think of that would seemingly be stressing his boyfriend out and sighed as he dropped the cloth he was using to clean, onto the counter. Was he going to have to hold an intermission just to spare their tables.

 “Okay, now I know there’s something going on,” he said as he left the counter and went over to rest a hand on one of Mika’s. “What’s wrong? What are you hiding in that pretty head?”

“I swear, I’m just overthinking, it’s okay!” It was not okay, but at least Yuu managed to get him to cease cleaning the café tables a third time over. At least they would be like new by tomorrow’s opening, right? It’s enough to get him to eventually fess up.

 “You sure? You’re not worried about the coming rush this weekend or anything?”

This weekend... oh no. Cherry blossom season begins. That means there is going to be a rush starting this weekend. And then they were debuting a couple of new drinks for the season, too. Some they never actually discovered abroad--it was a total home brew they came up with---

 “Mika, if you scrub that table any harder, you’ll scrub right through it. Is something wrong? Talk to me.”

 “No, nothings wrong this time~ Just tired and wanting some loving,” he replied with a yawn he didn’t bother to hide behind his hand.

 It was just the two of them at home anyway and Nana wasn’t there to be on him about manners. If she was, she’d probably get on his case for just flopping right down on his boyfriend too. Nah, no she wouldn’t. More likely she’d be up in an instant to make them both something warm to eat or drink or both. Granted one of them could do that, but now that he was off his feet warm, he only moved enough so he turned over onto his back rather than on his stomach.

 He’d need to get up to shower eventually, but that could come later. It wasn’t like he was especially stinky or anything anyway. He just enjoyed a nightly shower, especially when he could convince Mika to join him. Sharing a smaller space while water rained over them and they cleaned each other was therapeutic in and of itself.

 “I’m keeping you from the online orders aren’t I?” he realized, but still made no move to get up. Instead he enjoyed the feeling of pale, slender fingers in his hair.

“Ah, two things I understand very well,” the blond played softly, his fingers mindless in idle motion as Yuu finally settled down. It was easy enough to scroll and type one-handed--their small tendencies spoke loudly when it came to their enjoyment of one another’s presence. Mikaela wasn’t about to let his partner lay there without a reward, of course ( not that he was a dog.. or a fox ).
