They were in distraught of course. Orpheus Sage was quite young when it happened and he had to be isolated from his parents and older sisters. They couldn't see him home for months but they'd visit him through a glass screen and intercom(Lucy Gray tries to visit him everyday and sings to him). Many had died in that epidemic especially children. They were scared. It affected Coryo in a way that it was the final straw and the catalyst on why he had district 13 fully joined the rebellion and slowly hatched plans.

They were in district 13 and having children were given some kind of status and previliges (due to a lack of them) that would help them rise to power there. Three of the eldest children were planned so they really, tried, hoped and expected for them but he was excited and proud nonetheless when Lucy Gray announced. When Lucy Gray was pregnant he certainly fussed over her🤭. On their fourth time, he was worried and scared because it was during a war against the Capitol (the rebellion came earlier than canon). He certainly thought of termination cause what if he'll end up like his father, dead, leaving Lucy Gray alone and she'd die in childbirth and kids orphaned.... Sooo yeah lots of paranoia. And on their fifth and last, though it was stressful with still grasping control and power in the Capitol, kids adjusting to life there. He felt joy and relief.💕

She get excited. Though she finds them loud and overwhelming at times, she dearly loves them. When her parents announced they were having a new sibling, she'd be the one who's most excited☺️
