I am a really big videogame nerd, and yet the only console I have is an original PS2.

I have a medical condition that gives me flu like symptoms every time I get too stressed or nervous, so I'm prone to disappearing from the planet for periods of time.

Zeva felt the woman grab her arm and pull her into the alley way but didn’t resist. She had just watched her shoot two men and Zeva was scared of what could happen if she tried to get away. This woman had perfect aim. She leaned against the wall and took a deep breath, trying to stop crying. Her head turned to the woman with the dirty mask. “I guess I should thank you but I don’t think these are the right circumstances too.”

This one had more balls than she first let on. Generally when someone pulls you away during the purge you kick and fight, and yet here she stood getting her breath. Miraculous. "More like I should be zanking you for being caught outzide it seems," she chuckled in return. Funny too, someone would definitely want her back. Oh how all things were pointing towards profit.

"Give me a name," she cooed, pulling a knife from her pocket and flashing it in her line of sight, "and one reason I should keep you alive tonight." The tone wasn't threatening so much as calm. She'd done this before, seek out and assist a target on the terms of a reward of some kind. You could say the word that described her best was mercenary, and did the lass enjoy living up to that title. In fact, the man in front of the jewelry store she'd shot not but two minutes ago had bagged her a pretty new car when the night was over. Amazing how much one of those home stayers was willing to pay for someone to do their dirty work.

"Oh, and juzt to be clear. If I decide you're going to ze ozzer side, tell them Stray Bead sent you."

Muse A has never enjoyed the night of The Purge, while Muse B on the other hand has enjoyed the night of The Purge every year when it rolls around. On the night of The Purge Muse A is out when the announcement rolls out that The Purge has begun. While Muse A tries to get home as quick as they can, they get caught up in Muse B’s crossfire. Muse B sees Muse A panicking in the middle of the street and decides to help save them —— in return Muse B asks Muse A to help them in The Purge.

Zeva had never enjoyed the Purge and the one time she did didn’t count, so when the announcement that The Purge had started started, Zeva nearly had a heart attack. “No. No no no no.” She muttered, gripping her bag to her shoulder tightly. “Not now! Please don’t let it be now! NO!” Zeva cried, walking faster and keeping her head down. She felt her jacket pocket for the gun she kept on herself, just in case cause you never know, and felt reassured by the bulge.

“AHHH!" A shout came from a block behind her and Zeva shrieked and started running faster, trying to get home as fast as possible. Her parents were well off and had a large house that they protected with expensive and good quality security systems that worked. Not looking where she was going, Zeva turned the corner and a bullet shot past her face, missing her by less than a foot. A scream tore through her throat and pulled out the gun.

Her scream attracted the attention of the shooters and Zeva quickly pulled out the strangely elegant mask her parents had her get. She slipped it over her face and held tight to her gun, tears streaming down her face under the mask. Why me? Why now? Why here? She thought, hoping tonight wouldn’t be her last, though that was very likely.

"Der'mo," the young Russian cursed under her breath as the bullet from her rifle shot past the head of a girl scurrying about the street. She'd been aiming for the guy breaking into the jewelry store behind her, and in an attempt not to hit the girl she'd scooted her aim over. Now instead of a head shot she'd gotten a shoulder shot and one seriously pissed off dude. Righting herself for another go she popped the next one cleanly into his head, or well, that should be as cleanly as one can shoot another in the head.

There were things to be said about the purge, and a few of her favourites were:1) keep your weapon drawn, 2) don't run, face them, 3) don't scream, and 4) always keep extra ammo and weapons. Judging by the way this chick had broken one through three, it was probably a safe bet she'd broken four too. The mask though. It had class. So she was rich, and during the purge rich people were useful. The Russian's own mask was a dirty white that sat back on her head, forcing her curls to sprout like a doll from under it. Not attractive, but then again its purpose was to show that this wasn't her first rodeo.

Adjusting her half face mask she took aim at the couple coming towards the girl. Such obvious prey was in high demand this evening. One shot in the girl had them preoccupied. She took this time to sweep past the crying gal and grab her arm. It wasn't long until she'd dragged the obvious newb into one of the many alley ways the city had to offer. She was going to be work, but she was going to be worth something.

"I know. It vas hard for me to get my head around too, but ze past few nights haff been awful," she explains, her feet tapping along behind the CMO.
