The people who are mad about Kara killing Krem at the end of the movie after she kept Ruthye from doing it the whole time need to remember that Ruthye is like 9 at the youngest and 14 at the oldest. She is a child. She's an inexperienced little girl who watched her whole family get massacred. Kara isn't stopping her from killing Krem because "killing is bad", she's stopping her from killing Krem because she's Fourteen Years Old and killing a man is going to weigh on her for the rest of her life. She's a sweet little girl who grew up in the rural areas of her planet and is going on a revenge quest because she's filled with grief she doesn't know how to handle. She knows so little about the world, and Kara can see that! So she doesn't want her to kill someone because it's gonna mess her up like crazy!!!

Kara is 23 in the movie (iirc). She's an adult, and though not an experienced adult, she's seen horrors in her life that make her think she can handle killing Krem. Watching her people slowly die has aged her beyond her years. She thinks she can handle it much more than Ruthye can, and she knows she already has so much weighing on her consciousness that killing Krem won't fuck her up too bad- it'll just add to it all.
