Introduction

Hi! My name is Anatol Dybowski. You can use any pronouns you wish for me.

I am the Head Medical Labratory Scientist at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. I graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology, then did an internship at John Hopkins University before working here.

In case you wish to find me, you can find me in the basement of the hospital. I am 154 cm with relatively short blond hair. Alternatively, read the name on my ID tag. I speak English, Polish and Icelandic.

I just wanted to say that the pictures you posted of seals are very cute!

But I agree with you, they are also very dead… </3

Their dead status is unfortunate but at least they are in the hands of a capable scientific institution instead of the black market or something of the sort!

Sure! I always like sharing my interests with others, I hope you can do the same for me so I can get to know you better :)

Alive and living are my favourite states for a seal to be in, to be fair. They are always more interesting when alive. Although, would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy getting so close to one, stuffed or not.

Also, have you ever considered trying to swim with a seal, an alive one I mean? I am sure there are places for such thing!

And to answer your question I am very fond of otters, but my favourite animal will always be my cat, Bandage, no matter how grumpy he is! <3

They are the most comfortable states! Hospitals do a good work of keeping death and illness away.

I have, however, the places that organise such things often mistreat the animals. I think wild animals, especially those endangered by human activity, shouldn't be conditioned to get used to humans (zoos are often an exception since they do conservation work). However, if I was wealthy enough, I'd love to take a trip to Iceland or such place to observe seals from afar in their natural habitat!

Otters are so smart and cute too! I bet Bandage is wonderful, regardless of his rascal like personality. What kind of cat is he?

Oh.. yes, I did forget how cruel people can be to animals.. I find it so difficult to understand why anyone would be so horrible.. although I often think that about most of the incidents I see within the hospital as well..

On a more positive note, I hope you make your trip to Iceland one day and are able to see your favourite creatures! <3

If you were to ask any of the staff who have met my feline they would assure you otherwise, and I do too! I am not too sure what he is, as I adopted him from a shelter, but I do know he is a flat faced cat, so has breathing difficulties that lower his life expectancy, but that is exactly why I have him, to make him as happy as I can while I have him! I just posted some photos of him, actually :D

Humans can be cruel, especially to animals or individuals they think won't rat them out. It's heartbreaking.

Oh poor thing, I hope he isn't suffering too much! I saw the photos, he looks gorgeous! Cannot imagine such a cat being such a trouble maker.

I’ve found it’s best not to dwell on it, if I begin to think over how many horrible stories I have heard I will not be able to stop for a while, as they always relate to another that is just as awful.

Oh no, Bandage doesn’t suffer! He’s practically like royalty with who I treat him! Most of my pay goes into food, toys and care for him, which I don’t mind at all, I’m glad I have something to spoil in my life! Not that he reciprocates that love when he is tearing at my new sofa, or hissing at me from moving him off my pillow, or attacking me for absolutely no reason! </3

I'm glad to hear that! It seems like he is quite spoiled, as all pets should be of course. Mel and I spoil Spot as much as we can, I swear I've slept on the floor so he can have the bed sometimes (he is a border collie and takes up quite some space). I'm sure that the attacks are simply his way of showing love.

Luckily Bandage is rather small, so we always manage to settle on sharing the bed each night! And I know he loves me really, he’s just amazingly grumpy and doesn’t care too much for anyone, he reminds me a lot of one of our colleagues, actually…! :>

Spot is such a cute name for a dog, especially one as lovely as a border collie! I adore them as a breed for how happy they always look, it’s such a lovely thing! <3

Oh I wonder who! Hehe. But he seems like a funny cat, it's always more exciting to have pets with big personalities.

He's the cutest! So energetic too, very demanding but completely worth it.

Yes, the House team gets on our nerves too. Always rushing labs, as if we have any control over their speed. Easiest way to get them away from you is to either give in to what they want, or just hide. You can of course fight them off but it is harder.
