IM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS AU ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY 😩🫶
Also I have so much lore about Oswald and the Star Twins (Rayman and Ramon), but I’ll keep it short and brief—Rayman and Ramon were separated when they were kids, as Mr. Dark had kidnapped Ramon as he wanted to get at least one of the twins, thinking they were both powerful, when in reality… Rayman was the one gifted with abilities, while Ramon, unfortunately, had none. No powers, nothing. He does manage to escape a few years later but gets lost and has to survive on his own for years, while his brother grows up to be the hero of the Glade. What Ramon doesn’t know is that his brother and his mother never stopped looking for him, even if he thought otherwise.
The destruction of the Glade and their planet as a whole was an accident on Ramon’s part. He unleashed an ancient evil, an alien that landed on their planet hundreds of years before, that was kept locked away for a reason. Ramon, desperate to find his way home and to maybe finally have his own abilities, released this ancient evil, known as the Blot, and was taken over by it. The Blot, now released and with a new host, destroys the Glade and everything in its path, all while Ramon was forced to watch, unable to control his body or his mind. His mother, his home, his people, all gone. His brother, for all he knew, also gone.
The Blot has had numerous hosts in the past, but all of which died shortly after, their bodies and minds unable to handle the possession. The Blot essentially spat out Ramon and let him live, more so to taunt him with what he’d done. Forcing him to live with what he’d done. A portal appears nearby, which to this day Ramon isn’t sure how or what the portal was or who activated it, but he runs to it, and ends up on Earth in Acmetropolis. A fresh start in many ways, though that day the Glade was destroyed still haunts him.
From there, his backstory is similar to Rayman’s from Captain Laserhawk—he goes into the entertainment business, but more so as a TV reporter that goes to the scene of the crime and reports from there, his face becoming known throughout the city. He finally, in some ways, finds peace. But it doesn’t last long.
When the meteor comes to Acmetropolis, it activated a small part of the Blot that was still in Ramon’s blood, which in turn, grants him the abilities similar to his brother—strength, agility, and a killer punch. But he’d never had such power like this before, and he almost didn’t know what to do with it, nor how to control such power when his anger got the best of him. One argument with his boss caused him nearly kill him, thus ending his career with an arrest and a few years in prison. His entire life thrown away all over again, that fresh start gone. But maybe it was what he deserved, at least in his eyes. But it’s there in prison that he meets two other prisoners, Dolph Laserhawk and Bullfrog, and the three eventually form a trio and friendship that lasts even once they all end up released. From there, Ramon goes to them with an idea. Since they both can fight and have had years doing so, Ramon also wanted to learn how to fight properly and be able to defend not just himself, but others too.
So, they agree and help train him. He learns combat skills and how to use multiple different weapons, and in a matter of time, he’s able to use those new skills, and powers, to his advantage. The three decide to become a band of vigilantes, to do what the Loonatics are afraid of doing. Stopping bad guys for good.
A new reason to keep going, and a way that, deep down, Ramon can make up for his past misdoings, mainly the destruction of his home that he inevitably caused. What really kicks off his goal moving forward is seeing this new “B-Team” of the Loonatics on TV, and one of the members, a certain black rabbit, having abilities that were vaguely familiar… some research on his end causes Ramon to find out that this Loonatics, Oswald, got his power not just from the meteor, but something else that he has never said on record. But Ramon can tell just by looking at him, those green eyes so eerily familiar. He realizes that Oswald’s power is from the Blot.
That means the Blot, that entity of destruction and mayhem and death, is here. In the city, on Earth. That meant this new home of his was under a looming threat that he cannot sit back and allow to happen. Not again, not after what happened last time.
Ramon makes it his mission now to get Oswald and remove the Blot permanently, even if that means killing the rabbit. But it’s for the fate of the world… one life to save millions, then it’s worth it.
