The two waged their battle upon one another, monsters striking the other with a madness that could only be described as hellish. Neither of them had an iota of self-preservation within their body, their intent only to destroy the beast before them. There was truly no indication of how long they had fought against one another until they finally separated from the embrace of insanity, each one fairly beaten, but both still ready and willing to continue their terrifying duel.
The woman's strength seemed to have died down as the glow around her lessened, her skin returning to a normal hue and her state of mind returning to her normal insolent self. So it was only a temporary change then, a moment of empowered madness. Interesting, though that interest would not save her. At this point he didn't give a damn as to who she was, what she wanted, or for what reason she had arrived. The time for those questions to be answered were now gone. All that mattered was her punishment.
Her boast reached his ears, and a sardonic laugh answered her, one filled with such bitter hatred toward so simple a statement that it sounded almost like a sob.
"Kill me? A pleasant dream, but nothing more than a fleeting one, especially by the likes of you..."
Into darkness, he disappeared yet again, this time reappearing before her, crimson eyes focused upon her with a great fury, lips drawn into a fierce scowl, as though he was dealing with a petulant child who simply never learned their place. Then again, in his eyes, she might as well be.
"Even if I believed you were worthy enough to perform the deed..."
His hands moved to grasp her sword wielding wrist in a tight grip. Before she could react he, had made the motions for her, and plunged her weapon straight into his chest, piercing the wretched thing called his heart and extending on through to protrude from his back. His blood soaked the weapon, and though his body shook from the intense trauma, he did not weaken, nor did he even seem to acknowledge the pain.
"Your petty blade and body cannot hope to kill me. There is but one weapon that can kill me, and it is not within the world. Death is lost to me; my sins shall never be judged by them, for I am the monster chosen by God to exist, the necessary evil to punish mankind. I am the Dragon, Dracul! I am the Prince of Darkness! Look upon me, woman, for I am darker and more terrible than Hell itself!"
The grip on her wrist tightened to the breaking point, as he removed one hand to go up to grab her neck, pulling the woman ever closer into his clutches. His eyes glowed with their fearsome red as the scent of her blood finally reached his nostrils. The battle was already done. She had wasted so much time with her insolence. Now it was time for her to pay the price. With a ravenous snarl, his bared his teeth...
...and sunk his teeth into her neck.
