"Around the the Potter and McKinnon estates?" Sirius said. He moved forward to make room for James.
"Sounds brilliant," he said with a smile, "Don't worry Mum I'll keep him safe!" he smiled pointing his wand to his head and Sirius' before sitting behind Sirius. "Just don't die," Dorea asked witha sigh, but if James was with Sirius he wouldn't let him do anything to put in danger his life.

Bike || The Potter + Sirius
Sirius tried the brakes for extra measure. He came to a halt about halfway down the driveway before looking back and giving them a thumbs up.
James laughed and shook his head amused as Charlus hugged Dorea to make her feel less anxious. "He looks like a child with a new toy," she exclaimed making James snort, "He is a child with a new toy," he offered moving to Sirius, "So, where are we going?"

"Thank you but no…don’t bother. I will wait for him." Regulus smiled as he allowed the house-elf to take his coat. He was about to answer the house-elf’s last question when Mrs.Potter walked into the living room.
"Hello, Mrs.Potter" Regulus said. "I came to see Sirius and personally thank you for the biscuits, they were delicious. I do hope I am not bothering, sorry for coming without a warning, I just…didn’t exactly know when I would manage to…well..get out of my house"
"Please call me Dorea, and I’m glad you like them, I hope it wasn’t too much trouble to send you something over Christmas; I know how hard they can be." she said as Mindy disappeared with Regulus’ coat. "Sirius is going ot be really happy that you’re here."

Regulus smiled awkwardly back at the house-elf. “Yes, that would be me” he nervously replied. “I am here to see him, yes. May I come inside?”
"Of course, Master Regulus," Mindy let him in, "However I think Master Sirius is at the McKinnons, you could wait here until I bring him, if you want." Mindy offered guiding him to the living room, "May I take your coat? Would you like anything to drink?" she asked politely.
"Mindy I heard someone at the do- Oh, Regulus, what a surprise," Dorea said with a warm smile.
Visitting {Regulus+The Potters}
It took a lot of planning, lying and convincing for Regulus to step a toe out of the house. He had lied to his parents that he was going to meet up with one of his supposed Slytherin pure-blood friends. He told them that they got each other presents and that they were just going to spend one afternoon outside.
Endlessly, they agreed and Regulus stormed out of the house and he immediately took the knight’s bus .
Now, he was standing outside the Potter Manor, nervously glancing at the polished door. He felt quite awkward, he didn’t even know these people, but they had sent him sweets and Regulus had really missed Sirius and he did have a few conversations with James.
Taking a deep breath the boy knocked on the door.
At the knock Mindy, the Potter's house elf, opened looking at Regulus, "Good afternoon, you must be Master Regulus, are you here to see Master Sirius?" the elf offered with a smile.

"Sure, mummy," he teased, winking at her before turning forward. He went into first gear and it was then he was truly moving out of the garage and onto the gravel of the driveway. Sirius felt a thrill like no other and he gripped the bars tighter.
"Call me mummy all you want, I can ride that back circles around you so just look ahead." she pointed nervous that he might fall from the side, James laughed excited looking at his best mate, "That's brilliant Pads keep going!"

"Five galleons I'll leave you all eating your words." He gripped the handle bars and tugged them, which made the bike roar in reply. Sirius took a breath and kicked off the bike stand. He shook slightly before gaining his balance, then shot a smirk over at his family.
"Oi! I said you are going to get out of the garage!" James said in mocked hurt, as they all watched him go silently hoping he wouldn't fall of the damn thing. "Sirius darling, look head please." Dorea asked in a motherly way hoping he wouldn't be that stubborn.
Chained to the Past || Remus & The Potters
Remus nodded mutely at Charlus’ words, his mind back at home with his parents. Lyall was definitely home and Hope was most likely sitting in her favorite chair with whatever book Lyall had gotten her that year. “I suppose you’re right…”
A slight blush crept into Remus’ cheeks at the mention of growling as he hadn’t intended to do that. He almost smiled at Charlus but took a step back when he suggested getting rid of the handcuffs. “I don’t know about that.” He admitted, glancing toward his trunk. “We don’t really need to get rid of them yet…”
"Just think about the gifts James and Sirius and all your friends got you, they know who you are and love you and didn't decide to give you something else than what they would give each other." Charlus pointed trying to logic his way to Remus apprehensive brain.
"It's ok, Sirius growls too, specially when you try to wake him," the older man tried to lighten the mood, the growl didn't meant anything many people did that and he didn't take it the wrong way, "And what exactly do you plan to do with them?"
Chained to the Past || Remus & The Potters
Remus eased up the slightest as Charlus removed his hand, rolling his shoulders and crossing his arms against his chest. “You never know…” Somewhere, deep down, Remus was still a scared child who wanted his father’s love.
Remus heard the lecture, growing somewhat annoyed. He supposed by now his friends’ beliefs about him should have sunken in but they hadn’t. He wondered if his father’s lessons had burned too deeply. “It’s not that it’s not secure it’s just… My friends risk their lives for me, I want to do everything I can to keep them safe.”
Charlus sighed and nodded, "You're right, at some point he might reach to you in a more pleasant way but shackles are not the way to go." he explained not wanting to break the little hope that Remus had of his parents ever reaching to him again, life was already too hard as it was.
"Don't growl at me, young man." he said in a fatherly manner but not mad at all, the old wizard wanted to make Remus see himself as they saw him, but Charlus understood it was hard, "Remus, just by that you tell me I can trust you; if you wanted to hurt anyone you would have done it by now, so we don't need to take extra precautions, so how about we get rid of those?"

Chained to the Past || Remus & The Potters
Remus stiffened at the touch, though he wasn’t sure why. He supposed he was just feeling defensive. “I’ve been going back and forth trying to figure that out, trying to work out if he is actually trying to help or if he’s just doing the same shit as always but, this time, from a distance.”
"The shackles tighten if the wearer struggles." He found himself saying, his eyes squeezing shut as Charlus spoke. "It would keep me from doing anything. I wouldn’t blame you if you used them. You make it sound so awful but it could be a good thing." Remus honestly believed his words, though that belief still hurt. "I hear you, I do, but I also wouldn’t blame you if you did."
Charlus decided it was best if he removed the hand from Remus' shoulder, not wanting to upset him more, "Remus, I'm sorry to tell you but that is not trying to help, that is not helping anyone, not you, or us." the old man said sincerely looking at the young man in front of him, he hated that Remus thought that way of himself due to what Lyall did.
"We are not putting shackles on you, shutting you out, tying you down, or locking you up, Remus; you're not a monster and I'm sure as I'm standing here that you won't ever hurt me or our family." he really wanted Remus to understand that, "You don't think the place we selected is secure enough for the full moon, is that what this is about?"

Remus groaned, wanting the matter to drop. He pleaded with his eyes, hating that Charlus was so worried. He had never dealt with that other than with the Marauders. He would have expected anger if anything else. "It was a joke, Charlus. I promise it’s—" That damned note. Remus wished he’d burned it, wished he’d never had enough hope to even open a package from his parents. It had been stupid of him to trust them.
Remus looked down at the ground, not wanting to meet Charlus’ eyes. “My parents sent it. My mum’s owl was at my window about an hour ago and I… I wanted to think she was thinking about me for Christmas so I opened it. My father sent it to me, said that you might want help containing me. The shackles are enchanted.” He admitted sullenly.
Charlus stepped closer to the young wizard, his hand going to Remus shoulder in a way to sooth all the feelings he imagined where dwelling in the boys heart. "Remus, I'm sure your mother was thinking of you; she seemed like nice lady last time we met but that... that might be some twisted way Lyall wants to mess with you." he explained with a sigh.
"Remus, we would never..." he stated appalled Remus would even consider them doing that; "Remus, listen to me son, you're not a monster, we would never, ever, consider doing that to you. Do you hear me?"
Chained to the Past || Remus & The Potters
Remus stared at Charlus, mortification filling him as he realized the situation. He strode forward briskly, shoving the shackles into his trunk aggressively. He wasn’t cross with Charlus but with himself for not putting the blasted thing away before leaving the house. He kept his back to his adoptive father for a moment, collecting his thoughts.
"It’s nothing, Charlus. A prank." He tried to brush it off. He could feel his eyes beginning to sting, tears threatening to well up in his eyes and give his lie away. "It came in the mail…" He lied less easily than he was used to. Remus was usually the one who was able to talk the Marauders out of the major trouble they could get into for their activities but he found disappointing Charlus to be a major concern.
Remus noticed the letter that had come with the shackles was trapped beneath the older wizard’s foot and mentally cursed. “It’s really nothing to worry about…”
Charlus looked at Remus trying to figure out what was wrong, if this was in fact 'nothing' her wouldn't be acting in such way; "Son, this is hardly a prank, those were shackles, anyone that send you those might have intended to send a different message than that." Charlus explained trying to convey that he wasn't believing a word Remus was saying. "Do you know who send it?" Charlus asked warily trying to think who would have that sick humour to send that kind of things to his son.
He was about to move closer to the younger wizard when noticing the paper at his feet looking at the signature, "Remus, how did that get here?" he asked between angry and worried.
Chained to the Past || Remus & The Potters
Remus had gone out for a walk after opening the gift from his parents. He had left the item in the center of his floor in his urge to get some air and clarity over the situation. He kept going back and forth in his mind over whether or not they had meant harm by sending the shackles. Maybe it had been meant as an insult but it also could have been a gesture of peace gone awry.
After about a half hour of wandering in the cold, Remus returned to the Potter house and up to his room, having made up his mind to simply hide the object and decide whether to discard it at a later time. He wanted to see if the magic his father claimed the item held was true under secrecy.
When the boy reached his bedroom he noticed the door was slightly ajar, something he knew he wouldn’t have done. He frowned, pushing the door open. “Hello?”
Charlus had done a few things to buy before the camping trip and he thought that maybe, since he barely left his room, he should offer Remus to come along trying for him to get a little fresh air and for both of them to know each other a little better.
He knocked on the door and waited for a second, checking on his watch he didn't thought Remus would sleep in until that late so he might be ill, so he knocked again before opening the door. "Remus, son, are y-" Charlus said to the empty room, it wasn't like any of the boys o just walk by and not say a thing but the strangest thing were the shackles on the floor with widening eyes.
The older wizard was about to pick it up when Remus called, making him turn, "Son, care to explain?" he said pointing to the object on the floor.
A Little Alone Time || Remus & Charlus
Remus thought about how kind the offer to go camping with the rest of the Potters and nodded. “Yeah, though I don’t know the first thing about camping. It ought to be fun.” Remus was glad for something to look forward to about the holidays. “Charlus… I…” Remus struggled to find words. “I’m really happy to be here, Charlus, and I just want you to know how much I appreciate this.”
"Is not problem, is mostly to get out and have smores," Charlus chuckled, "We are glad to have you here, son; just be sure to give Dorea a few hugs before you go back to school or she gets grumpy." he joked.

"Shut up, all of you," Sirius laughed. He pressed the key into the motorcycle and turned on the ignition. The motorcycle rumbled to life, vibrating beneath him and letting out a dull roar. Sirius looked entranced, his eyes lighting up along with the buttons.
"Never, this is priceless, is like James skating for the first time, is going to the family teasing book." Dorea said with a chuckled looking at Sirius' face of glee. "Five galleons he falls," Charlus said quietly not really wishing his son ill, "Five her manages to get out of the garage." James offered witht he same enthusiasm.
A Little Alone Time || Remus & Charlus
Remus sighed, a little defeated. “Yeah, I know.” He knew he should be asking for help more, should be ‘taking it easy’ but it was a bit of a struggle for the boy. “A camping trip?” Remus asked, frowning as he considered the idea. He had never been on an official camping trip but he supposed those nights the Marauders had spent together out in the forest counted? “Sounds fun.”
"It doesn't mean you're less capable of doing things, just that sometimes you need an extra hump," Charlus offered and nodded, "Yes, we take one every break, is just two days but I wanted to make sure you were up for it." Charlus said with a smile.
