â Its almost like weâre related or something.â Wendy agreed and internally cringed at the implication of that.
It sounded very much like her to name her kid something similar to her own, even if she didnât plan to have any kids and just be an account if her siblings had any.
Wendy needed to find out more about Wesley to confirm her suspicions, and to do that is to keep their conversation going.
Wesley breathed a laugh at her words. âRelated?â He shook his head, âNah. I donât really have a family, never knew âem.â
But he couldnât stop staring; she did look quite like him, and he was almost unnerved by it. As much as heâd never really looked into his past, he sure was curious about it. âBut sure, yeah, letâs go with it.â Boldly, he put an arm around her shoulders and started walking with her down the street. âWeâre related now, since we donât know whatâs going on. So weâre sticking together, Wendy, weâre gonna figure this out.â
Wendy just knew she really messed up when he agreed (sorta) and swung his arms around her.
Now, she was being lead down the street by an almost total stranger with absolutely no clue as to were she was headed.. If this was a horror movie, the audience would probably be screaming right now for her to run.
But Wendy didn't run, instead she just decided to talk to Wesley.
" So if we're siblings, shouldn't we try to get to know each other better?"
