           he sat in the corner of the cafe, the screen of his smartphone reflecting onto his glasses. it was lonely here. yuuri was, once again, an outsider. he had turned to social media and his camera roll to mantain some sense of comfort. ( was that kind of pathetic? yeah. did he care? no. ) he TRIED to contact his friends, his family - but none of the messages or countless calls went through. yuuri hated this feeling, he wanted to leave new york - but he couldn’t! it was a lost cause. he was beginning to give up hope that he would get back home and see his loved ones again, and that caused his mind to whirl. it wasn’t until the loud ring of the door opening that he snapped out of it -     and out of the corner of his eyes he saw a familar blonde! he looked up and yup - it was him! yuuri’s face lit up, brighter than ever.  “yuri!!” he called out.

            yuuri scratched his head while he took a moment to look at the dress. his knowledge of fashion extended to mostly the form fitting and bedazzled figure skating apparel that occupied a large portion of his closet. besides that, he usually just wore sweats (and the occasional NICE outft on days where he tried making an effort. this was one of those days.) he wasn’t used to people asking HIM for style advice, to say the least. “it’s very -      nice. i’m sure she’ll love it!” 

            just yesterday, he was running to meet with viktor and yurio. and today, he’s across the world -       in an incredibly loud and crowded city. america was so... different from japan. the people and their MANNERS (or lack of), the food... it was kinda mind boggling to yuuri. of course, he could get used to the fast food joints (viktor would be pissed to find out he was eating piles of junky food -      and it’s only been a day!) but the people? no way. it was too busy. too noisy.. he was truly intimidated by almost everyone here. the rooftop was the only place he could think of that would be silent -    peaceful, even. he opened the door, walked a few steps and had one of the biggest scares of his life when an unknown voice spoke. he quickly turned to them, and hesitantly began to speak. “oh! uh, i just wanted some peace and quiet..”
