Book 2 Zutara is "Vigilantism counts as a date." Funny enough, I think your Kyoshi Warriors AU fall on this one. Katar has no idea who Zuko really is, so she learns about his actions and good intentions first, before finding out that he is Fire Nation.

Meanwhile, Book 3 Zutara is "Zuko's 101 ways to make Katara notice you," as he tries relentlessly to apologize and express how he feels, without causing more misunderstandings. Like your The Block story.

I really find it interesting how each Book of the series drastically changes the Zutara dynamic and how it can be approached in their core elements.

Ohhh I LOVE THIS. Their change and evolution in dynamic across the series is really beautiful, and thinking about it in terms of AUs isn't something I thought of doing before. Extra kudos for that!

"Vigilantism counts as a date" is one of the best things I've read all week. Imperfect Canvas might fit in that definition, I think!

Bloodbound AU:

The vampire isn't like others of his kind. He's strangely gentle, has the self-esteem of a squashed bug, and took care of her injury without succumbing to the temptation of her blood. But in spite of all his virtues, the Prince is still a vampire, and he still needs to feast.

Luckily for Zuko, Katara knows of a criminal or two whose blood begs to be bent (and consumed).

Republic AU:

Katara Tinik doesn't give up without a fight. Which is about as admirable as it is annoying, given that her latest endeavor is to ensure Zuko has no dignity left to uphold. As the Fire Nation Ambassador in Republic City, dignity is quite important, thank you very much.

ZUTARA + PARALLELS PART TWO:

I get that they’ll never be besties but they don’t need to be at each others throats all the time. It’s old. And tired. And I love both of them so I’m tired of people constantly pitting them against each other like leave them alone they’ve both found true love and joy can they stop antagonizing each other for one sec so we can get actual development/ a more mature perspective of their relationship…

Like please focus on the other multiple under developed characters you have

I just love them both and I’m so done with the Rhys v Nesta drama.
