But also it being a very conscious effort for him to act this way due to living in an environment where he’s grown up in an inescapable tower where every action is being watched by templars and his handle on magic is constantly scrutinized under the threat of tranquility. Like his expressions and body language are friendly and passive as a defense mechanism, being an elf and a mage. But it just makes it harder to get him in trouble when he does act out or go against the rules.
