While I haven't heard any testimonies from Africans or native Americans regarding the Gorons and Rito, Arabs and Mesoamericans do not view the Gerudo and Deku favorably. The gerudo are a race of women in 'belly dancer' Aladdin clothing, obsessed with dating [European] men, their leader a big nosed scheming warlock. The Deku (at least in Majora's Mask) are blood thirsty and violent to outsiders, with one of the only nonviolent ones being a woman.

Let's think on it.

1. Why would Nintendo choose to portray the European inspired race as the most familiar and most advanced one?

2. What implications were they trying to make with a race of scantily clad women, with the only exception being their ruler?

3. Why would portraying the women of a Mesoamerican inspired race as 'the good ones' be problematic?

4. How could Nintendo fix these problems, and why do you think they haven't tried?
