My thoughts on this year PSC
This year was kind of unorganized to be honest :/ Heck I think most of you are thinking "The idea was good, but it wasn't very well executed" And I completely agree with you. So I'll just consider this year as an experiment, so I can have an idea of what to do better next year.
Also some of you are probably thinking "HEY! YOU DIDN'T ACCEPT MY SUBMISSIONS! WHAT GIVES?!"
There are 3 reasons of why I did that.
You broke a rule. The only rules I've seen broken were "Please check the week’s announcement post for activities, you can find it in the “Post to reblog” page. Some activities aren’t available during the week." (2 or more users broke it) and "Try to keep your submissions SFW, by this I mean, nothing too mature or anything like that in the camp, like gore or sexual content." (1 or 2, not sure) going to change the latter rule a bit to be more clear.
You didn't submit it in the right time.
And of course, it probably didn't send it or Tumblr might of ate it :T
"But Katie! I submitted and it didn't appear! And you didn't say why it wasn't approved"
And I'm going to be honest, I'm a chicken when it comes to send an ask to people, ESPECIALLY if I'm going to be meany mod lady. I absolutely HATE saying that your submission wasn't approved so, I MIGHT of not said why I didn't accept your submission. I'm a coward basically.
"But Katie, if you're a coward, why did you decide to do this in the first place if you knew you were going to decline some submissions and you have to say it?"
I've decided to do this event because I wanted to have a summer camp event type of thing. But...... I was expecting it to be a small thing......BUT NOPE, I HAD TO GET 200 AND SOMETHING FOLLOWERS OVER FREAKING NIGHT AND 400 NOTES ON THE ANNOUNCEMENT THING :U You guys are crazy xD
"Sooooo what are you going to do to make this better next year?"
Welp, I have to get a new random cabins guy you know what? scratch that, I have to get 4 cabins guys/gals. Why 4? Because I want for the job be easy for them so I'll split the random cabin things and cabins thing like this:
One cabin guy will check for male artist campers.
Another cabin guy will check for male roleplayer campers
Another one will check for female artist campers.
and another one will check for female roleplay camplers.
Which reminds me, I will change the how to join thing to include the camper to say if they are roleplayers or artist. If you are both, choose only 1.
"But Katie! What about the audio blogs?"
WEEEEELLLLL dunno. If you're an audio blog please suggest on what to do and what you prefer.
Also, I have to make a how to join thing for runners, since I'm an idiot and forgot to say stuff that I don't remember what (What the heck did I just say I don't even. Ignore this part please, it will make sense when I actually do it)
I need a new rp guy, a new suggestions guy, oh and I need submissions guy! Because you saw how I submitted stuff and it was awful, I FREAKING FLOODED YOUR DASHBOARDS FOR PETE'S SAKE! (Though no one complained about that...... weird.) ....I have to use the Queue more often next year....
And I need a second head in the camp, because I suck at being the main and only head D:
Oh and do an rp forum in a better forum site :T rp guy should of warned me right in the beggining about boards' guideline... i'm a freaking noob at being an rp forum moderator :T
Also, need to make better rules for security guys 'cause reasons and stuff
Overall this camp went on smoothly and without big problems. Hope we- oh who the heck am I kidding, hope I will make a better job next year with more people.
