Parina is a young lady from a farming family living on the calm outskirts of a town, and spends most of her days tending to the household and livestock on the farm. She has seven brothers who all have suffered the loss of a parent, which left the family seemingly adrift in their grief but also left Parina with responsibilities she wasn't ready for

Parina is eager to make contact with others, although social unawareness can make the line between being polite and being too forward blur, and she always feels nervous approaching new people. Nevertheless, Parina seeks connection, perhaps to make up for the bonds severed in her own family - which she quietly wishes she could repair, but isn't sure she has to heart to do.
