I wonder if the idea of supporting your artist friends by commissioning them will bring back having portraits of oneself in the home. but instead them being like, a status symbol, as a way to show off your very talented friends? Like “ah yes I see you admiring the family portrait above the mantlepiece - my friend drew it, aren’t they talented? here’s their twitter they’re accepting commissions OH and they also did the one of my D&D group in the living room come see!”

however imprecise and out of tune this is, it’s one of her prettiest melodies and you can hear how it is borne so purely and of a lonely mind, without the saturating influence of multi-piece orchestras/bands and sound mixers

hey also just a quick post to say that while we’re celebrating Pride month we need to remember and honour the victims of last year’s Pulse attack. on June 12th it’ll be a year since it happened, and i haven’t seen any posts about it on my dash yet and i feel like it’s important to talk about it
