Buster Keaton's second and final film of 1925 was "Go West". In Buster's autobiography, he talked about how he trained Brown Eyes to follow him everywhere he went. He started by leading her around with a rope and rewarding her when she moved promptly. Then, he removed the rope and continued to reward her when she followed him, unbidden. Buster wanted to be equated with getting treats. He got her to the point he was confident he could take her on location and she would do as he wanted. However, that wasn't the case. They arrived on location and suddenly Brown Eyes turned into a diva. She kicked. She snapped. She wandered off. Buster was so alarmed he called in a vet. The vet told him that Brown Eyes was in heat and needed to be mated before she'd cooperate again. So Buster found a farmer with a randy bull and gave Brown Eyes what she needed. After that, she did everything that Buster wanted her to do for the movie.
