“Of course! Of course!” You said, scooting over on your bed to make space for them.

(F/O) lied down with you, resting their head on your chest. “I’m really sorry if this is bothering you.”

“No, of course not. What’s wrong?” You asked, patting their head.

You heard slight sniffles and looked down to see them crying. “I-I’m just having a bad day. I’m sorry. I’m just… I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just need you with me right now.”

“Of course, sweetheart. I wouldn’t dream of leaving you. You’re okay. You’re here. You’re with me.” You kept your voice quiet and steady.

They nodded. “Thanks.”

You kissed them on the top of their head, then wrapped your arms around them, holding them close to you.

You two just lied there in silence for a little bit.

Then you looked down and saw them asleep on you. You gently wiped away the residual tears in their eyes, and pulled the blankets up to cover them.

“You’re gonna be okay,” you whispered, “I love you so much.”
