I swear if I hear about Snape having to be nasty to ‘keep his cover as a spy’… It’s such a cheap excuse. It doesn’t even make any sense! If anything, bullying kids and showing a blatant bias for Slytherin is the exact opposite of what he should have been doing. Ffs, Voldemort wasn’t even ‘alive’ for most of Snape’s teaching years. And don’t even begin with ‘Slytherins would have told their parents’ nonsense. It would have changed exactly nothing, as long as Snape had Dumbledore in his corner.
