i HATE self-censorship for a lot of reasons, but being in crisis work makes it even more frustrating. who are you censoring for? like i am being so fr, WHO are you censoring for? have you even thought it through? people who have been raped know that they have been raped. if someone attempts suicide or is grieving someone who did, saying "sewer slide" isn't going to protect them from any of the feelings. a murder victim's family isn't going to feel better bc you said "unalived" instead of murdered. if anything, it's just extremely invalidating and othering. it's saying "what happened to you is so bad that i won't even say the word," which is NOT trauma-informed care. you are not protecting survivors/victims when you self-censor. the ONLY things you protect when you self-censor are the puritanical ideologies that are being encouraged by rich fascists who want your money and obedience

I went so hard during kill my mind dancing at the end of the kmm fan project that I somehow shook my flashlight off 🤣

Along those lines, I made a sign on a regular white computer paper that said “HDWGH Tour Live Album Please?” and I had printed off two copies… I lost one while dancing and jumping about midway through the show and the second was gone during Miss You… whoopsie!

That being said, Louis definitely interacted with the fans right next to me (the girl next to me had a sign about the 3rd place match for the World Cup - she melted down in a crouch for a moment after Louis scoped out the sign near the start of the show, it was very relatable) and he kept nodding and pointing in our general direction. So while I can’t be SURE, I do think it is very possible one of those nods was for HDWGH Live, bc it MUST happen, I am manifesting! 😆

Of course, there had to be drama in the barricade right near me. A mini argument that escalated to a bit of pushing right before Louis started was quite the scene. They got security all around that bit of the pit including one guy who came into the pit to talk it out. Honestly it seemed like it was all down to one person who worked their way up close and then wouldn’t give enough space (shakes my head). I was thankful to be a little distant, but I felt so bad for the fans involved. Always remember to leave a little room in the pit!

Also, intriguing thing happened to the girls right on the other side of me. They had brought a Louis doll (classic 1D doll) and one of the security guys (I’m pretty sure one of Louis’ team specifically) came up to them about 2-3 songs in and asked them to put the doll away. So I don’t know if that’s cause Louis doesn’t want to see the dolls, or he doesn’t want them in pictures, or some other reason… Feel free to add if anyone else has been told that before.

Outside of that, I danced and I screamed and I cried and I sang and I jumped and I looked into Louis’ eyes as he told us how important we all are to him and basically, I had the best night ever 🥰

And of course I had to wear my defenceless pin in honour of the gem of an acoustic version that this tour has gifted us.
