Pokémon Minami

It’s strange thinking back to what frame of mind I was in at the time; so deeply in canon and fanon to the extent that I receive the occasional comment on the fanfiction.net upload of a paraphrased “I read it all and understood nothing” and think, oh, if any consolation, I barely understand what my motivation was to write it besides attempting to explain why the games don’t match to the anime, what missingno is, and why there’s two mewtwo.

I like my explanations, to be honest, and I like thinking I’m clever in some respects, and I will always, ALWAYS, love time travel; so I suppose a more in-depth behind the scenes write up should be on the cards for me at some stage.

In the meantime, have a Beta Celebi.

i am trying to recapture that long lost feeling of being over my head but loving every minute; like a thrill of trying and learning rather than doubting with uncertainty…

even if animated mewtwo is a little rough around the edges, and the final product is a bit hodge-podge, this might actually work…

dialga, palkia and arceus are now involved, because of course they are

i see the remainder of this thing like a short movie in my head - more so than most stories which i'm more than happy to simply write down and have a 'theatre of the mind' vibe instead

simply lacking the skills, time, knowledge, energy, resources and tools to make even the crudest moving picture is kinda frustrating because this is where it starts getting good! but now that things are more on the move it doesn't altogether suit the slow still pictures frozen in time with cutaway dialogue...

i mustn't bite off more than i can chew with this, or else i simply freeze alongside and nothing gets accomplished

but the next sequence has been playing out over and over in my mind's eye and it's so tempting to just try do up a super rough animatic with some free animation software or something...

i won't give up if you won't

(funny how even just the slightest nudge from an unexpected source can help break from one headspace into another and actually motivate to get things done even though it's 1:34am and way past my bedtime)

i will always love pokémon, fakémon, fanfiction, and fanart. i and many others have been around from the start; firing up the ol' gameboy and watching the 1st season on tv feels simultaneously just like yesterday and also a lifetime away now. but i'm STILL HERE and i never want to go away even when everything (myself included) seems against me having the time and energy to be creative

“The Mountain”, on the other hand; is something we never needed but I knew I wanted.

(It will take a long and arduous time to finish; but that has become synonymous in my mind with the very nature of Dante’s Mewtwo’s Purgatorio, so...)

Guardenia signing on again for 2019, probable splash image for new redesign of website because I downloaded a thing on the App Store that seems like it’ll be a huge WYSIWYG help now my html and css knowledge has gone down the drain.

Didn’t even realise how much I’ve missed this li’l ‘mon and their story until I got going on the re-imagining old plots thing.
