A!Eddie didn’t get what the big deal about scent marking was. He does it with friends and the pups all the time because that was normal pack behavior. He didn’t realize that people were really raving about being scent marked by the people they liked who their inner omega, alpha or beta recognized as mate. At least until O!Steve came unto the scene and immediately started scent marking him himself. All of a sudden it was the best part of his day. He’d practically felt drunk off the smell their combined scents made. His pack didn’t say anything but he couldn’t miss the smug looks they shot his way which he chose to ignore.

A! Eddie who is director of a preschool has told his mate O!Steve that he would happily hire him since he knows newly graduated Steve’s been having trouble getting a teaching job. He hates watching Steve get more and more frustrated because he keeps getting passed over for “experienced” teachers. Eddie thinks working together would be a dream come true but Steve worries it could be a detriment to their relationship especially if the only reason Eddie hired Steve was because they were mates. He wants to do this on his own which thankfully Eddie understands though it kills him to see his omega working so hard and being rejected at every turn.

O!Steve is not satisfied with just his Alphas knot. He usually begs to be filled up even more and A!Eddie loves finding new and creative ways to fill up his mate so that he’s nice and full to the point of almost being painful.

A!Eddie wants to be topped by an omega but in conservative Hawkins he doubts that he’ll meet anyone who will indulge that particular fantasy. When he ends up falling hard for the shy bespectacled O! Steve, he’s more than willing to take things slow. He assumes the omega hasn’t had many experiences and wants to make his first time as pleasurable as possible which means taking charge. One night things start getting hot and heavy and Eddie pulls back to make sure Steve’s ok only to be surprised by how irritated the omega looked. Steve seemed more ready to thrash him than hide his face with embarrassment like Eddie expected. He’d long since abandoned his glasses and his dilated eyes had a wicked gleam in them that Eddies never seen before. Steve reached out and roughly grabbed the front of Eddie’s shirt pulling him close until his lips grazed his ear causing the alpha to shiver and then practically purr when he heard his omega hiss “Who told you to stop Alpha? Seems like you need to be taught a lesson on who’s the boss here.”

A!Eddie and O! Steve discovers a baby on Munson doorstep right when they were about to end their first date with a kiss goodbye. Tucked inside the car seat is a note from the Mom saying that the baby is Eddies and that they’re sorry. To distract himself from his growing panic he tried to figure out who the Mom could be but for the life of him couldn’t. He’d hooked up with many people while he was trying to get over Steve and the goal had been to forget not to be a Father so soon. Now his life had turned completely upside down and he didn’t know where to start on this new journey. Steve in turn took the whole thing in stride. Immediately picking up the baby and running off a list of things they’d need to pick up for her tonight and tomorrow. Though still overwhelmed Eddie felt he could breathe a little easier now that there was a plan in place. He couldn’t have been more grateful for Steve at that moment and watching him interact with his pup made him fall for him a little bit more. To say Steve was devastated was an understatement, but this was the exact confirmation he needed that him and Eddie just wouldn’t work out. The first date had been amazing EDDIE was amazing. The Alpha always seemed too good to be true which had Steve secretly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Steve told himself he was happy to remain just friends. That he understood the Alpha had other priorities now. He was even planning on asking Nancy to help him find the Mom so they can talk it out and be a proper family. One that Steve would never want to get in the way of.

A!Eddie goes a little feral before and during his ruts so he’s told the pack not to go near him for a few days. He’s known to bite, and his Alpha seems particularly interested in O!Steve’s mating gland. Thank God he still has his old muzzle or he wouldn’t be able to properly prepare for his rut. Sure he gets looks, but he figured it’s better safe than sorry. It’s just his luck though when “old reliable” completely breaks and Steve just so happened to be there. Being the good guy he is he generously offers to help which Eddie’s appreciative of he really is but fears how long his self control will last with the omega by his side like this. He figures it’s only a matter of time before he bites the seemingly unaware omega who right now is in his kitchen preparing meals for him and humming. Meanwhile said Omega is delighted that his plans are working. He does feel bad about tampering with the muzzle but if it means him and Eddie will stop dancing around each other and be mates as God intended he thinks it’ll be worth it.

With all the stress of trying to save the world O!Steve hasn’t had a proper heat in awhile. Not that hes too worried because HES TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD. However it’s a little inconvenient that his heat decides to show the moment he sees a bloodied Eddie claw his way out of the Upside Down after several months of the pack thinking he was dead. Oh and he’s now sporting fangs and a pair of wings. FUN! Sadly his omega doesn’t seem to care about that though it’s too busy vibrating with happiness that his mates back. Which was definitely the top ten worse times to receive THAT particular piece of information especially when said mate looked like he wanted to and COULD kill him.

Steve doesnt care much for being an Alpha. Not like he’s supposed to. His parents care a lot about it though. Ever since he presented they’ve been spending more time with him and being affectionate in a way that he hasn’t seen since he was a pup. That’s been nice…though spending time with his parents made him realize he may not like them that much. He also realized he doesn’t like being around other Alphas either. Though with sports and his own popularity it was natural that he hang with them. He actually likes being around omegas more. He learned that when he was forced to take Family planning after everything else had been taken. However he’d surprisingly loved it especially the lesson on building nests. When he got home that day he’d even attempted to build one and while it didn’t turn out the way he’d wanted he was still proud of it even taking a picture before dismantling it. He knew his parents would be furious if they knew but hes still had an itch to build another (an even better one) ever since. Hed been frantically researching the best nest building techniques at the library when Eddie Munson found him. The Alpha was unlike any in Hawkins. There was no posturing and he could care less about his social status. He’d taken one look at the book Steve was reading and offered up the back of his van for his nesting sight. Steve had been so excited he’d immediately started gathering items and the next day after school (in a secluded spot) built his nest while Eddie jammed to heavy metal in the front. When he was finished he shyly showed the alpha and practically started purring with the Alphas compliments. A sound that startled both Eddie and Steve because it was one Alphas definitely shouldn’t make. Steve was so embarrassed he couldnt look at the other Alpha but could feel his stare. After a long moment Eddie, so quiet he almost didn’t catch it, murmured “If you did want to become an omega I know a way to do it.” Steve knew a way too and was genuinely shocked that the Alpha was suggesting bitching (a taboo subject that’s not to be talked about). But when he really thought about it he’s surprised he hadn’t thought of it before. Sure he’d lose everything that he had been taught mattered but looking at his nest and then the Alpha he realized he’d be gaining so much more. He agreed and after that they got to work.

Tired of watching people flirt with his would be boyfriend O!Steve decides to make the Alpha a homemade collar that he will aggressively scent before gifting so that everyone knows Eddie is his.

A!Eddie and O! Steve get stuck in the Upside Down during the final battle. They suspected what El was planning and refused to allow her to make that kind of sacrifice putting themselves on the line instead. They had survived the final battle and decided to fuck about it. Once out of relief and a second out of fear of their unknown future. They had no hope that the others would try to find them figuring they would assume they were dead. So instead they focused on finding the essentials. It was a lot easier than they thought it would be and soon they had a routine. Eventually though boredom set in and they started to fuck again to help break up the monotony. Or at least that was their justification. What they hadn’t expected was for Dustin to show up one day. The pup that had refused to give up hope, cried with joy at finding them and finally being able to take them back to Hawkins again. The reunion with the rest of the pack was even more emotional and when everything settled down they both agreed to put what happened in the Upside Down behind them. It meant nothing anyway… at least that’s what they told themselves.

A!Eddie really wants to gift O!Steve a collar to show his devotion and intentions of making him his mate,but he worries he can’t afford to buy him the collar he deserves. Still he tries to find the perfect one and thinks he found it at a garage sale a few weeks later. He buys it immediately but as soon as his excitement dies down insecurity sets in. He can’t possibly give Steve this collar. He’s convinced even the thought of wearing it would probably embarrass him. So he hides it in the back of his closet where one day a rummaging Steve finds it while looking for more items to put in his nest. To say hes ecstatic would be an understatement! Hed love nothing more than to put it on then and there and show it off in town but figures Eddie would prefer to present it to him first. He’ll wait though….impatiently for his Alpha to finally claim him as his own.

In military occupied Hawkins A!Eddie and Robin host a radio show. The DJ is O! Steve who hides secret messages in the latest top hits for the town’s growing resistance. Because no one would suspect resident Golden Boy of not only being apart of that group but being in a secret courtship with its leader Eddie Munson.

A!Eddie and O!Jason have been courting for months much to the disapproval of the town and their families. They are planning on entering The Chase and mating knowing their union would have to be accepted because of tradition. It’s all going according to plan until Eddie catches a different scent and his alpha yanks him into a completely different path that ends with him biting another omega’s mating gland. This omega happens to be the Harringtons secret son Steve who was running away so his parents can’t sell him off to some ‘eligible’ Alpha now that he is of age. It’s just his luck he ends up right in the middle of The Chase and mated, but he feels surprisingly calm about it until he takes a good look at his now mate and sees it’s Eddie Munson the rumored town murderer.

O!Steve has been wanting to tell A!Eddie that they are scentmates ever since he figured it out in Highschool. Unfortunately every time he racks up enough courage to tell his Alpha something seems to get in the way whether it’s social expectations, accusations of murder, Upsidedown, military occupation and rebuilding after everything. Steve is starting to believe that maybe in a cruel twist of irony that the universe doesn’t want them together as mates. He thinks he could be content as just a member of his pack but no matter how hard he tries to prove himself otherwise Eddie still considers him to be King Steve and takes every opportunity to throw pot shots at him. While his human side understands why his Alpha is acting the way he is his omega doesn’t. He seems to constantly be in rejection sickness and needing to take time to recover which hasn’t helped in his efforts to build trust with Eddie. In fact it’s made it worse. He doesn’t know what to do. He can’t move on or stay away from the Alpha he guesses the only chance he has is to endure.

O!Steve is worried that the reason he hasn’t gotten anywhere with A!Eddie (despite practically throwing himself at him) is because he’s not attracted to him. Steve isnt the typical looking Omega but he never thought much of that until now. His mother did warn him that it may make it harder to find a mate because Alphas typically didn’t like Omegas that were bigger and more athletic, but of course he hadn’t listened. Now he’s sure that he’ll never win over the Alpha especially when there are rumors that he has a thing with Chrissy who in every one’s eyes is the perfect Omega. Steve doesnt notice when Eddie practically drools over his muscles. Doesn’t know it’s probably one of his favorite features of Steve’s because he uses them to defend their pack and manhandle Eddie sometimes. He doesn’t understand why Steve’s been trying to hide them and make himself smaller lately. He even asked his best friend Chrissy who has no idea either.

A!Eddie knows that O!Steve really wants to take his knot. Every time they fuck (which is frequently because they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other) he begs for it. Instead of giving it to him Eddie will pull out and give him a knotted toy to play with instead. Steve pouts as fucks himself with it while Eddie watches stroking his own swollen knot. Eddie claims it’s to build up anticipation, but really he’s worried his knot won’t be able to satisfy Steve. The omega deserves the world and he just doesn’t want to disappoint him.
