Mayblade extra! Decided to draw Mathilda, but decided to also use this as an excuse to draw a pretty landscape. I don't like her regular clothes so I decided to make her wear something casual that still keeps the spirit of the original design. This is my last Mayblade piece for this month. I can't believe I managed to do so many works this time around compared to other years.

steampunk might be more accurate for the fantasy prompt but it's got a victorian era aesthetic so good enough for me. also i remembered "spark" wrong as "sparkle." well. i had fun drawing this so maybe that's all that matters

I tried to represent something like; madness...or something... It was just inspiration.

What gets me is that, depending on what the odds were of Max actually being crushed by the wall (it’s not clear), Kai could have ignored the situation and kept going, even used the distraction to sneak into Level 5, but once again his instinct is to be a protector. It’s one of those fire-exposes-our-priorities moments that reminds us once again that ultimately, Kai is good.
