AS he wanders into the piano room he’s a tad bit surprised to see the robotic Jester already sitting on the bench, pawing at a few keys absentmindedly but not too surprised. He makes his way over and sits, peering at him for moment before his own fingers takes over and he begins to play a few chords, “How long have you been waiting for me?”
“Not long really. Figured you’d show up sooner or later since I felt ya wanted to play… What ya gonna play today?” Scooting a bit closer, Fizzarolli sprawls in the Ruler’s lap and peers up, awaiting for the performance that was about to start. A chuckle forms from the figure underneath, golds glinting down at him as he gives his fingers a few faint pops, “I figured I’d play you something… soft today. Today seems to call for that sort of thing, no?” The Jester nods, keen to hear anything really as long as Mammon played for him.
Ebony fingers settle on the keys once more, stillness wafting over and then… His fingers begin to move, melody soft, sweet yet almost melancholy. It gives one a image of total isolation, cold, wanting to seek warmth from another but becoming lost in your voyage to do so… As he plays the last few notes, fingers gently sliding off the keys, Fizzarolli sits up to eye them and then turns to say something, but freezes when his gaze lands on the Ruler’s face.
Quiet tears were rolling down his cheeks, his stare empty and vacant. The Jester sits up further and cups his face, chirping softly in an attempt to rouse him out of this state. A few blinks and Mammon inhales abruptly, his hand catching one of Fizzarolli’s and squeezing, enough to dent it some, “What are you doing?”
“I was a-attempting to snap you.. out of it. I didn’t mean to-”
“No… No, don’t apologize.” He lessens his hold, peering at the minute damage he’s done and sighs, “…That’s enough for now. Let’s head to bed, yes..?” Nodding his helm in agreement, the Jester slides his wrist free and climbs further up, arms wrapping tightly around Mammon’s neck before nuzzling down into as well. The Ruler replies with a faint rumble before getting to his feet, arm loosely cupping underneath and makes his way to his bedroom.
