If you think about it, it turns out that the Pocket Kingdom only has four royal guards and winged guards... But I have a question...
How does the kingdom even exist with such a small guard?

Recently refound this show from my childhood so i had to do fanart for the one character that had a big impact on my childhood pfff.

Puppy in my Pocket, episode 17.
When Princess Ava disappeared in Episode 1, the Royal Guards devoted themselves to the new purpose of finding Ava, thwarting her evil sister Eva, and generally acting as a temporary government.
They have spent so much of their time leisurely sauntering around the Pocket Kingdom, hunting the most dangerous criminal on their planet ,and her three accomplices, with no real sense of urgency (all while acknowledging that she is actively plotting against them), that they need to hire somebody new to actually guard the palace, ie. be the actual Royal Guard.
While interviewing applicants for this position, the “Royal Guard” were surprised to see Zool and Gort- two accomplices of Eva who were instrumental in Ava’s disappearance and the subsequent manhunt which now requires the Royal Guard to recruit new hires.
Rather than, for example, apprehending two of the most notorious criminals in the world who they have been hunting for months and who just waltzed up to the front door of the palace surrounded by hundreds of civilians and four of presumably the best guards in the Universe, William resignedly states that “Royal Guard law” or whatever requires Zool and Gort to be allowed to apply for a position in the Royal Guard which is necessitated by the amount of time the rest of the Royal Guard is spending specifically to hunt down Zool and Gort
Meanwhile, the Royal Guard are so busy testing the applicants for the new “Actual Guard” position of the Royal Guard that they leave the front door of the palace wide open so The Most Dangerous Evil Criminal In The Entire Kingdom can walk right in and presumably steal the most valuable magical artifacts in the world

Okay but seriously Pocketville has the worst security in the Universe
The royal guard consists of two cats and two dogs, none of whom have been seen actively guarding anything since the first episode. In fact, on several occasions, they have had ample opportunity to purse Eva and regain the half of the Friendship Heart that they are missing, but they just don’t. The only “guarding” they do is of their own lives, when they run away when Eva attacks them.
Eva’s plan in every episode is exactly the same; send her awful crow friend out to spy on everyone, then use the information gained to go to follow Katie and attempt to steal back half of the Friendship Heart. This has happened four times now and surprises them every time.
where do the puppies in pocketville come from do they have parents puppy parents????
By the way, yes... We don't see any of the characters' parents (not even Ami/Ava and Ima/Eva's parents!)

In the real show, I don’t blame Eva for being upset; she and her twin sister are presumably both equal candidates for the princesshood but Ava arbitrarily has it and Eva does not. I guess Eva was denied the crown because she is cartoonishly evil.
In my Puppy in my Pocket, Eva and Ava are co-princesses, each of whom carry half of the friendship heart. After a time Eva becomes a little over-reaching and hatches a plan to steal Ava’s half and become the sole princess, but it goes wrong and results in bringing Kate into the world to take Ava’s place, so Eva flees and becomes all villainous and such.
