Sadly, I wasn't on the Dark Crystal team. Since they shot in the UK, there was a finite number (a percentage) of US to UK puppeteers that could work on it. I think it ended up being Kevin Clash, Victor Yerrid and Alice Diinean. Beautiful crew.
I let Victor borrow my Dark Crystal novelization from the 80s in return for full cast signatures in the book. Recently, I was shooting a totally unrelated project at the Creature Shop and was able to use a Skeksis arm for a scene. 😵💫 It sent my head a spinnin'!
Yeah, season 1 left us with a tremendous cliffhanger, eh?
