putting the pop in apoptosis

Wow, what a gorgeous game. I've been a fan of @abby-howard 's work for a very long time (since the early days of JSPH and The Last Halloween) and I LOVE Scarlet Hollow, so I had pretty high expectations. Needless to say they were blown away. I went in mostly blind, and I highly recommend doing just that. It's a cosmic horror, it's visceral, and it just feels like so Much. Like I'm trying to hold onto water while it's running off my hands.

@jonnywaistcoat voices the Narrator and he is a perfect choice. I haven't had a narrator this upset with my choices since The Stanley Parable, and Jonny's cadence really brings it to life. I'm just realizing now that he plays all of the voices in your head, and he switches between them so well that I genuinely thought they were separate people.

Coupled with Nichole Goodnight as the Princess, and the game feels very much alive. I could gush for hours about the narrative, and I've only played through it just this one time. There's so much more I haven't seen, and I can't even describe what I HAVE seen without tipping my hand too much. What I can say, is that I've never been held so gently by cosmic horror before.
