Ch 10 - The Real Kei Nagai Pt 1
This is the chapter where Kei’s behaviors begin to show but also where you see what makes him a foil to Satou through their similarities
Satou is playing hero when they come upon the surgeons and it all falls apart. I thought it was kind of funny when i first read/watched because Satou is like breaking character because Kei is like frustrating him (is this kid "Good" or not ARGH). However, after Kei's betrayal, he switches it up and plays pissed off this time and whips out the Ajin actually die through beheading idea which haunts Kei throughout the series. (In the subsequent chapters he tells Tanaka he pretended to be angry here.)
I guess it’s so funny to me cause he's like so random like a kid making decisions or like a cat making a judgement call in a way a cat does
He's like hm yeah I guess I'll do this now and he kills people like he's squishing ants and Kei's like hey now do we need to do that
Also the conversation Kei has with the surgeons is crazy. One guy is like ugh you're soo much trouble and Kei's like well you vivisected me so shut up
