“I’ll wait for you.” So he’ll drop her off near Burlet, and just wait.

“How about I just drop you off near him? Think that’ll work?” He can do that, but it’s her decision.

He had no time for her games.

“Oh, you don’t have to ask!” And suddenly she bursts into fire, only to reappear in similar flames behind him, completely untouched, somehow. “Phew... that felt great. But I wasn’t asking about me, huhuhuhu. You know, she burnt up, didn’t she--” And suddenly, a blank playing card will appear in the girl’s gloved hand, showing a girl with green hair with a ton of burn scars. “I bet it didn’t feel good for her at all. What a selfish man~! But luckily, I don’t care what kind of person you are. You see, our circus is quite magnificent! I’m here to give you a chance to go back as far as you want... to do anything you want to do, prevent anything you wanna prevent! Any wish at all, and we’ll grant it!”

“Come on, now... it’s me... it’s us... we can find anyone.” It’s not even a boast. It’s purely fact.

“If you’re so hung up, why don’t you ask him?” He can see it’s going to be an issue… so this seems the simplest solution.

“…I don’t know how to find him. I’m not sure I’ll be satisfied, anyway.”

“It won’t be as hard as you think, I’d bet...” He seems confident.

"It seems like that," while she had been hoping to get home today it won’t be too bad, she thinks, "I guess. Introductions are in order? I’m Lobco. It’s a pleasure to meet you." She gives a polite little bow.

“That’s kind of cute. You’re a lobster, right...?” He thinks it’s almost endearing, at least. But as for his name... well, that’s not something he’s going to give away, so instead: “Glaistyn. I’m an acrobat.” Or something like that. But he’s also a magician, a sword swallower, a knife thrower... and sometimes, a wish-granter.

“And with whom do I have the pleasure?“

“Ahhhh, everyone always wants a name, don’t they? I’m just the Ringmaster of this beautiful circus. Although those two buffoons over there are my subordinates!” One man, with a lot of purple hair wearing an eyepatch, is currently throwing knives at a boy (He seems a teenager, anyway) strung up to a gigantic checkered board. Neither seems bothered by this. “But if you must call me something, how about Grendel? Huhuhuhu... you had a most exciting end, didn’t you? Burnt to a criiiiiisp~! How’d it feel?”

…She’s not answering his question. Because she’s too caught up in this. An open wound, one that’s been left bleeding and festering.

“If you’re so hung up, why don’t you ask him?” He can see it’s going to be an issue... so this seems the simplest solution.

Not even just in the theater. She’d appeared in the theater after the book in the play had burned down. No one had even known she was there besides him, and he didn’t even… Look back for her…

“Is it his job to make you happy? Or your own...?” A simple question, he thinks. He’s wondering... how she’ll answer it. Poor girl. He can see why she hurts so much...

“…Did Burlet even want me to develop a sense of self…? Or… Would he be upset to find out I didn’t disappear…?”

“... Who knows? But you did. And that’s not his to think about. It’s yours to grapple with. Yours alone.” It’s just that simple, really. But he’ll encourage anything she picks. ... As for him... as much as he wears a similar outfit at times to the other three, all of them do their own ‘thing’, so to speak. They just came together out of similar interests...

Clear her head… Yes. That sounds about right. She’ll be fine. She’ll… Be fine… She’s going to just find a place to sit after a bit and just stare at the water, hugging her knees to her chest.

... He’ll sit down next to her, silently. This is fine. She’s got a lot to sort through, right? May as well give her a good place to do that in.

“It is. Been a while since I saw one this strong around here,” despite her words she sounded a little happy about it. Speaking of these parts, “are you from around here?”

... A very minuscule smile forms on his face, but it’s pretty easy to overlook. This one was interesting, at least, but he just doesn’t like getting soaked. “Not in the slightest.” It’s definitely not a lie, at all; he’s from their Circus. And it... well, it’s special. That’s all. He’ll wring out his hair a little, and then shuck his unfortunately soaked tee onto the floor of the small seaside shack. No good getting sick, right? “Sort of a problem... I guess we’ll be stuck here.” He doesn’t sound too enthused about it, mostly because he isn’t.

That was what he’d hope, yeah. That the running water and the calm atmosphere would help her. He can’t imagine her having seen much, after all, and sometimes it pays to slow down and step away from the hectic nature of their shows. ... She’s interesting. And he’d like her to be able to work past this, figure it out on her own. He’s confident she can, it’ll just take time. Something he more than gets.

Time to sort out her thoughts. Time to think about things. Time to maybe discover things about herself.

“Cool.” He’ll offer her his hand. They’re going to leave the Circus for a bit, he thinks. Go for a little spin... elsewhere. And, in a moment, when they step out of the big top, they’re just... on a regular street. And he’s not wearing those fancy clothes anymore. And his hair probably looks far more manageable. A river... just a walk on a riverbank. No one around, some small town, somewhere, who knows where. It’s nice, it’s quiet. The sun is beginning to set a bit. The air is a little bit cool, but not too much. He likes places like this...

She’s going to slowly start getting dressed again. Since she’s not sure she wants to try on anymore clothes right now…

... He’ll let her get dressed, just sorta waiting there. When she’s done, he’ll pause. “... Want to take a walk?” It’s an offer. She can say no.
